Getting butthurt implies there is hurt feelings.
In that case, you were wrong as well. I don't see anyone that has "hurt feelings" in this thread.

Faulk and Sapp are just straight haters.

Romo said all the right things.

Oh DC Fanatic, did you hear what Tony Romo said if he was rooting for a player, he wanted that player only concentrating on football or whatever sport. Nothing else!

So, phhhhhhhhhh, on romo and playing golf during OTAs.

You heard it from the man himself, as fans we expect him to be working on nothing but that sport.

phhhhhhhhssstttttttt

And he said it was wrong to think that way.

Faulk and Sapp are just straight haters.

Romo said all the right things.

First, DC you know i was just picking at you;

this is how i view what the announcers were saying when romo said he doesnt know what it takes to win a superbowl.

Romo was trying to be truthful. This also gets back to the subject of primarly working on being the QB of the Dallas Cowboys to get you to the superbowl.

I like romo's honesty in that he doesnt know. I do think he has an idea but he isnt sure. Yet, at same time, he said the players and himself are working continually to get better.

This goes back to a subject when I said that the players are real close to being a champion but they arent there yet. They to me are about a year away. No player on that team now has won a super bowl. Yes, brooking has an idea but brooking did not win that superbowl when they went. But Brooking knows what it takes!

In 91, the cowboys won their first playoff game in the 90's then got destroyed by the Detroit Lions. Then Jimmy Johnson got with Jerry Jones pulled the trigger in getting and trading for Charles Haley and Thomas Everett. Troy Aikman said that the cowboys and himself had no idea what it took to win a superbowl, but when Haley got here he showed them.

The same thing happened back to the Cowboys in early 1970. The Cowboys signed Herb Adderly and signed Lance Alworth all pro wr too. Adderly told the cowboys players like Bob Lily, Lee Roy Jordan, etc that I am going to show you what it takes to win a superbowl. The extra work in film study, more focus in game time and workouts, staying in shape. The little stuff, that helps propel you into the superbowl.

Next year with adderly the cowboys go to the super bowl and win. Same thing in 92 when the cowboys got Haley & Everett and win the superbowl.

This team is real close with one key player addition. Keith Brooking who has been to a super bowl and Sensabaugh who has been to a big playoff game.

Those players are making themselves noticed in the locker room, on the field and off the field.

I think they are close, but the key to all of this is that Tony Romo hasnt hit that next gear yet but he is real close. I told you all, (some of you said what i posted about top qbs hitting their mark from their 50th start to their 61st start had no bearing on the case) but that is exactly where tony romo is now with his 50th start, with romo going into this 51st game in New York today.

As Romo continues to grow and learn, and realize that his life is football, and you have to be totally committed to it, then romo will take that next step. Roger Staubach had to learn this, just like Troy Aikman had to learn some things from Charles Haley.

Again, this team is real close, but no cigar yet, but real close. I feel they will make that super big push next year for sure.

But he did say that if he was rooting for a player in whatever sport, he would want that player to concentrate solely on that sport nothing else. That fans feel that way. Sure he said is that realistic no, but he did say fans had a right to feel that way, he himself would feel that way if he was rooting for a player in whatever sport.

This thread is now about Romo and golf.

Awesome.

Who the *** cares if Romo golfs in the offseason. I doubt Peyton does nothing but look at his playbook in the offseason.

Holy crap. That was like watching the barbershop scene in "Coming to America", only much less intelligent. Wow. Does Sapp get paid "per face and noise", because he certainly doesn't say anything even remotely logical or meaningful. Faulk's wife must've said "Romo's cute" or maybe it was the being denied an interview thing because he is just a hater. THAT is the best crew they could come up with? When emotional, loudmouth Irvin (who I loved as a player) is the most sane and logical person there (except for Mooch), you know there are serious issues.
Romo's answers were absolutely fine and humble and THAT'S what they get out of the interview?!
Absolute idiots...

Part 1---i like the way Faulks whole argument is about what he THINKS Romo should be asking Troy and Roger......how the **** does he know Romo didnt ask those things......maybe Troy and Roger told him ..."you wont know what it takes to win a SB until you win one, you just have to work hard as a team and support each other "

Looking at the whole thing it was a bit comical - but you have to go with the fact that everyone has opinions.
If what was said in previous posts is true why do these guys have jobs as "impartial" presenters when they hold grudges over who would or wouldnt grant them an interview.
Romo was blasted for speaking his mind - the guy doesnt know what it takes cos he hasnt donre it yet - if he was to go down the checklist like Sapp did - its the list he goes thru every week!!

I wonder if they would stand in front of say Dan Marino and ask him what it takes to win a Superbowl???

Lets take these Giants out of the picture today and move on...........

I seriously doubt it but then again sapp may be dumb enough.

Proof that Romo will never, ever get a fair deal. No matter what. No matter what he does. Those two are buffoons. Mariucci is the only sensible one up there.

Romo could end all of the world's problems, and these two S.O.B.s would criticize that he didn't do it quick enough.

Someone would get the same answer as to actually hired that moron Sapp for the NFLN in the first place.

I don't know.

So sick of the bad rap Romo is getting from the media.. It's a joke.

Irvin was indeed ambushed, but he handled it with a smile and he mentioned that Romo said each player is looking at himself and asking what can I do better. Irvin handled it well. Mooch was more open-minded than Sapp and Faulk. I don't know what Romo has done to these guys, but it is personal (and illogical).

Co-sign. Marshall behaved like someone disrespected his momma. And Sapp is just a clown. He is the talking head of "No". Forget about getting substance out of Sapp. Why are you so sure that Tony will not succeed?

Plus he had the nerve to recommend that Romo at least give the "party line or generic answer". Yeah right. They always slam players for repeating the cliches. The continuation of the dumbing down of america.
