In my opinion, he's 100% correct. Parcells never wanted him. It's what I've been saying since the day he was signed. Parcells is the type of coach who would take his chances with a cokehead like Lawrence Taylor than on an idiot like Owens. I only wish that Parcells would someone day speak on the matter without reservation and remove all lingering doubt.

It's still hilarious how he continuely repeats the "I got blindsided" line. Why any 13+ year veteran, in this day and age of the salary cap/free agency, with his history of team/player relations, would ever think that a few conversations with Jerry Jones made him an untouchable is, to say the least, incredulous. It's akin to someone:
  • grabbing a paint can
  • finding a stretch of high traffic interstate
  • cautiously lay down a makeshift sidewalk
  • wave a car down and ask the driver to cross the highway
--and anticipate hearing the victim scream moments before impact, "I didn't know a tractor trailer was going to hit me..!"

But hey, that's Terrell Owens. Then again, an ancient Chinese proverb does say that Donovan McNabb would not know that NFL games could end in a tie...
anybody who knows anything about Parcells knew that. just some of the people who agree with every move Jerry makes thinks he also wanted Owens. Parcells got rid of those type of players kind of like what we had to do last offseason after Jerry signed Pacrat and Tank.

Owens was treated far, far better by the media when he was in Philly than when he was in Dallas.

Up until the contract dispute and his feud with McNabb, he was hailed as a savior of the Eagles franchise and beloved by the media.

From DAY ONE of signing with Dallas he was villified and there were story after story that was either completely false, mostly false, or just plain fabricated. As he talks about in the 'drug issue' that was reported as a suicide BY THE MEDIA. And when the media got it dead wrong, instead of manning up and apologizing for jumping the gun, they instead blamed Owens, the Dallas Fire and Rescue Department and Owens' then publicist Kim Etheridge and in typical local Dallas media fashion they resorted to name calling of Etheridge calling her a 'gold digger' and other similar slurs.

Nowhere in that interview with Michael Kay does Owens insinuate he was jealous of Romo and Witten's relationship and even admits that he probably should've handled things differently.

But, Mr. Hair Piece had an 'anonymous source' that reported something that really has never been verified AND went against Owens' character as anytime he has had a problem with a player or a team he plays for, he has come out and said it. Yet, when he was with Dallas he didn't do it.

So we are supposed to believe a hack reporter who has a tremendous history of being dead wrong on reports from his 'anonymous sources?'

Call me skeptical, but I'll pass.

Just like I'll pass on hearing Mr. Hair Piece report that Miles Austin would not being playing the #1 WR spot and would be stuck playing the #2 WR spot all year long and wouldn't be in position to make plays. I guess if that's the case, Miles would be in place for a 2,000+ yard receiving season once he becomes the #1 WR.

What a joke.

And I'll also pass on Mr. Hair Piece saying that the Cowboys don't want to re-sign Miles to a big contract because of the money they are paying Roy.

Tough to argue with a guy who says he liked playing for a team that he went to the Super Bowl and didn't always put up with the boatload of media BS that he did with Dallas from day one. Perhaps if ESPN and the local Dallas media wasn't filled with two bit hacks, more players like Owens would consider Dallas their favorite team to play for.

He did?

Does Keyshawn ring a bell?

How about Terry Glenn? How was his time w/Belichick as his coach?

What Tyson Thompson, a talented player who pissed away his college career with off the field issues?

How about Jermaine Brooks who had more guns and weed to supply the state of Arkansas?

How about bringing Keith Davis back? How many times does a guy have to get shot to be suspicious?

Keyshawn and Terry didn't cause problems here under Bill.

Tyson Thompson didn't cause problems.

I don't even remember Jermaine Brooks.

Keith Davis got shot he was not a bad teammate.

T.O. was a bad teammate and bad for the team.
