Here's the Terrell Owens clip from the NEWBO's series on CNBC...

That racist stuff has got to stop in this country. I may be a little different from most because I grew up in NY and around a whole host of races, colors and creeds, but I just can't see how people can hate on someone else for what they look like.

It's just stupid.

As for Terrell Owens being a role model for my kids. Probably not because he's not a good teammate in certain situations and I think he's too self involved.

I do feel for him having to see his Grandmother go thru Alzheimer's. My father had similar symptoms when he was dying of cancer and it's heart breaking to see someone not have the use of their mind as it once was. It's frustrating for the person and everyone around them. Stay strong Terrell and just make sure you keep being there for the fam when they need you.

Will he be here in 2009? Who knows anymore. One day it looks like it's a definite yes, then I starting thinking that Jerry hasn't made up his mind yet or he would have just told us one way or another.

I will always go back to the idea that if he would just learn to stop talking publicly about 'issues' he has with the offense or his teammates that I would once again be in his corner so to speak. But I don't think he can do that at this stage of his life. He needs the mics and cameras on him at all times because it's just who he is and that's not going to change.

TO hit the nail on the head.

The kid is a product of his environment. Change the environment and everything changes.

It's STILL only ONE race.

Gawd, this is why I can't stand this guy. For a while I actually liked him here. I really did. But some of the stuff he says here is just...

Eh.

And I am sure you have been a wonderful person to everyone in your life even when they have scrutinized you beyond belief. Come on man....he is human and it seems to me he is TRYING to be a good one.

When was the last time you did anything for charity?

I'm starting a support group/intervention for dcf. I'm afraid he has an addiction problem when it comes to certain emoticons.

Say what? I might have to borrow some of dcf's smilies.

Romo's pics are of him at dinner or walking thru an airport with his girlfriend. He might be at her concerts, but I've yet to actually see pics of him observing.

Pics of T.O. on the red carpet pop up everywhere. Award shows, sporting events, the beach. All he "dates" are models. Now he has a train wreck of a reality show coming up soon.

But Romo is more hollywood. :lmao:

Great segment on T.O., I was going to post this BUT decided against it. He's a class act, say what you want about the football field but off it, he's a great person.

It has nothing to do with me. This is like when someone is critical of a player and they ask, "Do you think you could do better?"

I'm not talking about TO as a person off the field. I'm very happy that the guy isn't a criminal like Pacman. I'm talking about him as a teammate. And it pisses me off to see him hide behind his upbringing as an excuse for the way he acts. "My grandmother raised me to be honest" and "I don't know how to be politically correct" is turned into an excuse to call people out and say anything he wants. It's BS.

Especially when he can't stand to be called out himself -- then it's being "disrespected".

Plenty of other athletes and successful people in all walks of life have come from unfortunate backgrounds. Darren Woodson sure did. Why doesn't he act like TO?

Dead wrong.

Terrell Owens seeks out 'Hollywood'.

Romo doesn't. They just take photos of him.

Who was on a sitcom? A MNF promo? A reality show? Who went to Sundance? Who goes on Letterman & Leno? Who wants to be an actor when his football days are over?

Come on now.

Admit you were wrong. Just do it.

Sorry Charlie's.

Romo does it in his "aw shucks-Brett Favre" way. That is where you are fooled.

Consider yourselves sucked! :laugh2:
