I thought Trance was the hole filler. He is young, a great athlete with potential and after another year of watching he should be more than ready to go. Remember he was the 3rd overall pick.

Who the hell is Trance? The Cowboys don't have Trey Lance under contract beyond 2024. The 49ers are on the hook to pay him through 2025.

The 49ers do not owe Trey Lance any money. Not now, or in 2025. The Cowboys must pay Lance a $4.25 million roster bonus five days after camp opens n July. He gets paid $1.55 million, by the Cowboys of course, for the 2024 season. His career is likely over at that point.
