Has any other player in league history cost more teams more draft picks and huge sums of cash for absolute minimal production than Sam Bradford?

Not really. Daniel can hold the fort down until Wentz is healthy.

Whoever deals for the Eagles really knows ho to come out on the better end of most trades.

Brutal. Seems like none of Chips stupid mistakes ended up costing them on the roster or cap, while we are probably still paying cap space towards Miles Austin or Marion Barber contracts somewhere.

And I did not want Philly to have access to one of the elite rbs coming next year. This sucks. Only hope is if somehow the vikings have a great year

If they give up a first for Bradford they are idiots

The Vikings have a very good contending team that some were picking to reach the SB prior to Bridewater's injury and they're desperate. Wentz has been out with an injury for a few weeks and isn't ready to start so it would probably take a #1 to pry Bradford away.

Everyone around here praises SJ for his 'new' conservative approach but it is really just being cheap and boring.....we got lucky with a bunch of OL early in the draft but beyond that results have been mixed at best..... we have completely written off FA as a tool to improve

Is Mike Lynn the GM in Minnesota again?

This definitely smells like a move that will ultimately lead to someone's firing in Minnesota. Even if Bridgewater is expected to miss two seasons or more because of this injury...a first rounder for Bradford? Just wow.

I wish we could veto this trade. What are the Vikings thinking?

Me and my cousin in the twin cities agree.

Worse trade of the off-season, by far.

"We just Herschel Walker'd this ish..." was the direct quote from him.

I called this when it happened. Daniel is a capable QB with years in Pederson's offense. They've got an excess of QBs. Bradford is a pretty good fit in MIN, and Teddy's future is in the air. They were going to have to handicap him, anyway. If we weren't heading into opening weekend, it all makes sense.

Except for the 1st round pick, which makes no sense at all.

Ridiculous. If they gave up a first, does that mean they are ready to move on from Bridgewater? Because you don't give up a first for a one-year rental.

I've heard at least one report saying Bridgewater's injury could be career threatening. It's unclear at this point if he'll ever return to form, it was a pretty gruesome injury. The Vikings were being picked by several to reach the SB this year so if they feel Bradford could help lead them to their first championship then giving up a #1 could be worth it to them. He would also give them some insurance incase Bridgwater never returns to form. With the type of team Minn has with Peterson at RB and a solid defense, Bradford could be successful there. The final 3 games last season he was playing pretty damn good.

Although Philly lost the game he put up 361 yards on AZs defense with 2 TD's. The following week he put up 380 yards on Washington with one TD and in the season finale he put up 320 on the Giants with 2 TDs. Bradford isn't a bad QB and in the right system on a good team featuring Adrian Peterson and a solid defense the Vikings could go far with him. I don't see them getting very far with Shaun Hill and fans can say what they will about Bradford but he's a lot better than Hill and would give the Vikings a shot this year.
