A 1st. for Sam. Hard to believe. Good guy...but, looks very average over his career. He better have a GREAT Defense in Minneseto!!

The simple truth is Bradford is better than Bridgewater right now. Period.

Expensive price to pay for him though.

No way. Bradford might not even be much better than Shaun Hill. This is the dumbest in-season trade to happen in a long time.

You mean a guy who is healthy is better than a guy who destroyed his knee? No way!

They're going 8-8 at best.

They won 11 games last year with Bridgewater. He had a rating of 88.

Bradford had a rating of 86 on a worse Eagles team.

There isn't as big a gap in their QB play as you think.

No, it's not. Think through it.

First of all, Bridgewater has been average at best. He's not good at throwing downfield, and he's been pretty erratic at times. Bradford is a better QB when healthy, which is as iffy as Romo lately.

Second, Peterson has about two years left, so this was a time window move.

Third, Bridgewater's injury was so bad, it might take more than a year to heal.

It makes perfect sense.

Yes good trade on the Eagles part.

And they are trading other players also.

Clean house.
The Eagles just paid 11m in cash for a 1st round pick and made their team worse....not a huge win

They also took 11m in Dead Money, 5.5m this year and 5.5m next year

I guess it still keeps them as the 5th best team in the nfc. Can blame them for making this move after last year.

Bridgewater knows the system and has chemistry with the other players. Bradford is coming in with no OTAs, no training camp and no pre-season games within the system. There will be a slow learning curve for Bradford to get up to speed. Even then he probably isn't that good. The Vikes team isn't that great. It is a good team. Nothing special. I was already picking them as the playoff team from last season that will fail to make the playoffs this season. The Bridgewater injury and subsequent pick up of Bradford cements that choice for me.

From their perspective - Bradford was expendable.
Better they take the CAP hit and get something back.
And the other pick could jump to a low round 2nd.

Only if they think Wentz is ready and better than Bradford.......most would say he isn't right now

A lot of teams could get top draft picks and save cap space if they traded their #1 QB but they might just be throwing their season away in early Sept

Norv likes to throw it down field, Teddy sucks at this. Bradford is accurate throwing down field. Paid too much but this is a good move.

Very true my friend but it's not like the Eagles were going to the playoffs this year anyways.
