I wouldn't give up another pick along with a #1 but like I said every season is precious and if you have a contender in place to make a legit run and you're in the spot the Vikings are in without a QB, Bradford would be worth the risk in my opinion.

Every season is precious. Now the Vikes are throwing away an important 1st round pick that will help the 2017 and future seasons for very little that will actually aid them in 2016. Bradford is proven mediocrity.

You can't throw your season away in August......they needed a QB and got a decent one for 2 seasons ....the price is the price

If I was a Vikes fan I sure would be mad at em. A 4th rd pick should have been plenty. How the eagles got a 1st for Sammy is beyond me. And why the vikes gave a 1st rd pick is also beyond me.

Would you feel the same if Dallas gave up a 1st for Bradford after Romo got injured? I'd be pissed off.

Not even close to the same.....Romo is due back......Teddy may never play again...... MINN has a good young D and a strong RB..... they had no choice

The Vikes got HOSED, the worst since the Walker trade. A first and a fourth? Are you kidding me? Bradford is worth a third at most.

I'm not convinced that Dak will be a quality starter, but with that being said, if we could deal Romo for a first rounder, I'd do it in a heart beat...

Hey,you never know,Bradford could do well for the Vikes. He certainly has better talent around him now.

That being said,I still think a first is high for him.To much of an injury concern.

I would not agree with that. I hate the Eagles as much as anyone but Howie has done a good job reversing the bad moves Chip Kelly made.

My point is, they'd have to be complete idiots to turn down a 1st round pick for Sam Bradford.

And just because they've gotten rid of some of Chip's players that weren't a good fit there like Murray, Alonso, and Maxwell, doesn't mean that they're heading in the right direction. Now they have a talentless roster with a bunch of no names. They essentially blew up the garbage Chip was building and now they're starting from scratch.

I have never seen a scrub get more run in my life. This guy isnt even a bus driver. He plays scared since wrecking his knees and Minnys O Line is average at best. Their defense is going to have to carry them.

No guarantees they would have come up with a good player with that pick, the draft is a crapshoot. Granted Bradford hasn't been very good statistically over his career but he played on some bad Rams teams that didn't have much around him and he couldn't stay healthy. In Philly he was a poor fit just like Murray but still had some very productive games. According to Chip Kelly he was offered a #1 for Bradford after they made the trade for him last year. He does have talent and isn't as bad as some on this board try and make him appear.

He's had some terrific performances where you can see his talent and the potential he has if he's put in the right situation. Again Minn isn't just looking at this season they have to prepare if Bridgewater doesn't return to form. Several years ago Daunte Culpepper who was looking very impressive for the Vikings began to decline after a serious knee injury. I'm sure looking back at that was another reason Minn made the trade for Bradford.

I would be pissed too because we don't have the coaching or defense to win a championship. Even with outstanding QB play we can't get past the second round of the playoffs because of our defense. Bradford wouldn't likely do any better as a starter with us than the other QBs we've used.
