on thefan 105.3 the announcers said that wade in a press conf said, i dont know why we come out slow!

is that the marks of a good head coach? I am not trying to say i dont wade, i wished he would do the things he said he would do and make changes, but not keep waiting to make changes during the game. You have to fix things in practices.

a fan called in and made one comment about when miles austin ran across the goal line and held the ball out and dropped it,
thats total lack of focus;
no chip of vrabel by ware-evidently wade didnt prepare ware for that
the 4 offsides on one series by the defensive line and linebackers
the dropping of the ball by gurode on snap count
the botched holding of the FG for folk to hit by mcbrair

this team lacks focus, that comes from the head coach

again, jerry wants to be in control, so jerry jones you had better fix the lack of focus by the team and the penalities

Just Fire Wade and give the keys to Garrett. Let Campo take over the D.

The man with a million excuses needs to go.

why do you keep asking for Jerry to fix the problems?

anyone who wants this team to win, should want jerry to be in a different country from monday to saturday. He shouldnt have any say in what goes on in the film room, the class room or the practice field.

What should he say? Frankly, i'd be more upset if he KNEW why we started off so slow and did nothing about it. IMO, it points to succeeding and making plays. Cowboys don't do that on the first drives of games and haven't even in the 13 win season.

But we all knew this when we signed Wade. I'm not sure why people expected him to be a hard nose coach. We failed with that remember? The hard nosed coach quit on us. So we asked Wade to do what the GREAT Bill Parcells couldn't do. In return he got us a 13 win season.

Wade may be listed as a head coach but he's not. He's a part of a coaching committee that includes Jason Garrett. We can sit here and blame Wade for the defense but aside from that he doesn't deserve any other blame. Jerry's the one who brought him in. He's the one who made this coaching by committee when he hired Jason Garrett first.

Since taking over in 2006, Romo has traditionally started off slow. I'm not the one with stats, but the biggest tendency under Romo has been slow starts.

Shaky in the 1st quarter. 2nd quarter sputters until the last 2 mins. Third quarter always seem to be when the offense truly is on fire.

I think Wade is gentleman enough to not say too much either. Lord knows this market is looking for any way to stir the pot. Wade might accidentally say something that could incriminate Jason Garrett.

And besides, it's true. They start slow, it seems. I don't know why. I suspect the coaches and players don't either. If they did know, they would fix it.

I'll tell you why we have started out slow the last 2 weeks.

Its because we have got ourselves into a hole with turnovers.

We started slow on Sunday because the OL blew the first two drives, Folk missed a FG, and then Crayton muffed a punt.

I think Wade knows that, but won't throw anyone under the bus.

I thought we drove down the field on the first drive, stalled, and missed a FG.

We jumped out to a 10-0 lead on Denver....

I'm not acting like we don't typically start slow, but it's not some kind of crippling epidemic here.

Yea I really think we put too much into these pressers. I think everyone expects him to be Parcells. Wade never says anything in these and I think it frustrates the media and fans.

How would you fix it?? If you were Wade, what would you do to make your team have FOCUS?

by the way, Miles learned so much about focus after he almost fumbled at the goaline, that he admired himself on the replay board as he was running in the winning touchdown, from about the 30 yardline on. :bang2:

The starting out slow is the field goals. We get those. I think what i'm referring to and others is we rarely score a TD on the first drive of the game. Its not easy by any means but it shouldn't be as rare as we've made it look. I remember this especially in that 13-3 season. We were one of the top 3 teams in offense? Yet we sucked at scoring on the first drive. Its amazing how good this teams offense has been yet we struggle to score on the first drive and I have no idea why and I don't think anyone else does either.

I believe his completion percentage is low on the first 10 attempts.I believe attempts 11-29 were for a pretty good percentage, but after attempt 30 his completion percentage started to decline.I wish I could remember where I saw the breakdown at.

austin always does that. He did it in green bay and he did it in the playoff game against seattle when he returned the kickoff for a TD.

I hope we see a whole lot more of it!!!

and he didnt almost fumble at the goal line, he was about two yards over but seemed to just making sure.

:hammer:

Jerry's been doing the DIY on this house for years and he's the problem, and the reason things aren't stable, not the clowns he parades in.

You didn't answer my question, and I agree that Miles always does that........and that's not focus! get in the damn endzone. And he thought he fumbled it/dropped it before he got in the endzone. his reaction was pathetic.
