Wade v Tomlin

looks like Tomlin would have been the better choice here in Dallas... the Cowboys problem is not talent, the problem is the Cowboys come out flat and have a general lack of interest thanks to their head coach.

Wade was a nice contrast to Parcells but Tomlin would have been as well along with almost any other coach. Now, that we know Wade is not the answer and Jerry cant afford to change coaches like undergarments we are left with the hope that Wade will change... which begs the question how does someone who has been doing something 1 way for as long as Wade change? a nice dream!

Granted when Tomlin was hired by the Steelers I was like "who? they hired him because of the rule" now as the Steelers win the Super Bowl with an Oline that reminds me of the Cowboys 02 line... leaves us with this.

...the fact that Jerry had everyone in Valley Ranch after Parcells, but didnt interview Tomlin shows how much Jerry fishing with a frying pan!

I'm kinda wondering what Tomlin does besides chest bump players. He doesn't draft players or sign free agents -- i.e., doesn't have GM-type duties. The defense certainly isn't his defense. And he's not an offensive guy.

He's basically just a figurehead.

He says "lets go" alot after guys make tackles. I guess wade should try that.

I think he learned that from nfl films footage of cowher.

Who are the few people that would have a problem with his skin tone? You should go ahead and point them out so that we can keep them in mind during our next coaching search.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least if that one statement was the sole reason for making this thread.

How may teams interviewed Tomlin besides Pittsburgh? Don't accuse the Cowboys organization or posters on this board of racism just because the Steelers took a chance on a guy that didn't have any head coaching or even coordinator experience at the time and ended up winning the Super Bowl. In retrospect, it was a good hire by Pitt, but nobody really knew it at the time. Hindsight is 20/20 and does not make anyone a racist.

The chest bump is key.

Shows you can relate to the players.

Which equals Championship!

You guys are killing me. You mean all Wade has to do is chest bump D-Ware after every sack and we'll win the big one? Come on, Wade, start relating!:laugh2:

A figure head who's a Super Bowl winning coach. I'd take Mike Tomlin's figureheadedness in Dallas if it meant a Lombardi.

He is known for being a defense guy. Dick Labeau is in charge of the defense, however. What are the odds Tomlin's running the offense? Zilch.

In Dallas.....

OK... so Garrett runs the offense. WHo's the DC? Literally. Who is it? He wouldn't be a figure head here. He'd have to control the defense.
