Yes, not the direct reason but the ultimate reason. This is not rocket science Catch, its just not.

Eh, its hard for me to blame him.

I think he put together a really talented group of players. Just for some reason as good as they are they find ways to lose games.

Post Parcells Jerry has done a heck of a job imo.

A. your a loser for suggesting Jerry needs to be dead for the team to win.

B. Your clueless thinking garrett is holding phillips back. We woud have won about 6 games in 07 without the performance of the offense.

Jerry talks in the locker room all the time.
why? that's a problem. why can't this guy just shut his big mouth and sit in his press box like any other owner?

I bet if Jerry thought he could make a buck or two writing a book like that about himself, he'd do it faster than you can say "facelift".
If Jerry only cared about making a buck he wouldn't have spent a boatload of his own money on Jerryworld.

I never doubted Jerry's ability to acquire good talent. It's his coaching decisions. You find me another team in the league that would've given Wade a shot at head coach. You find me another team that would've hired Garrett BEFORE Wade. Jerry loves the spotlight, he loves the glamour. I miss the days where Dallas played the underdog, and they truely were America's Team. Jerry has somewhat taken that away. I hate Jerry Jones.

I will say Jerry has gotten better at talent evaluation (unfortunately it was through years of trial and error, see Chapter 12 of the book and still has not been perfected). But as far as head coaches goes, he sucks at getting good head coaches. Now some will argue he just does not know how to pick good head coaches; however, I and others believe that it has more to do with his "hands on style" that keeps good coaches away. Either way, we don't get good coaches here and unfortunately unless you are UBBER talented (the likes this league rarely sees) and UBBER disciplined and UBBER veteran, like the first year Barry Switzer team, you don't have a turkey's chance on thanksgiving of getting any where significant.

:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:If there is one thing Jerry cares more about than money its his own ego (which is the root of all of our team's problems). And his ego led him to build that place.

That being said, if you don't think Jerry makes his money back on that thing in 10 years time you are sorely mistaken.

You should know better, being the Future and all.

Talk about ignorance being spewed, you got the market cornered with that statement. Without Jimmy's coaching and talent getting abilities Jerry would be sitting here with NO rings and NO Jethrodome/bowl.

If you actually read the thread, you would know we're not dissing Jerry for his talent acquisitions. It's his coaching decisions that are holding back this team.

Ah yes, the name me the better GMs response...

I would venture to say any GM that has a) won a superbowl in the past decade or b) won five or more playoff games in the past decade...

How many is that? I dont know. About 10 probably.

balh blah blah.....who hired him?....the Gm?

who hired the next Coach Switzer who also won?

if your gonna chastise for bad hires you have to give him credit for the good ones....Jimmy was great....Jimmy was the man.....but without Jerry the GM what would Jimmys legacy be?.....a great college coach and a failed NFL coach (which he proved for the Dolphins)

i love Jimmy but there is a reason he isnt coaching anymore ..and it isnt because he would rather be fishing.......its cause he got exposed in Miami and dont want to tarnish his legacy any futher

Kinda stopped reading there because Switzer inherited a fully-stacked roster. I really don't know what else to say to that lol.

Sure i'll give Jerry credit for hiring Jimmy, it's the 1st and only good decision he's made as owner/GM, the ONLY one. Jimmy has had lots of interest from teams over the years since he left the Dolphins, i've even heard that Jerry offered him his job back before he hired Parcells so that statement is false and makes absolutely NO SENSE what so ever. Do you really think teams would repeatedly hire retreads like Wade and others around the league over the last 10 years and not give Jimmy a call gauging his interest in coaching? Don't make clueless statements. He really has it good doing the FOX Pre game and fishing and he knows it!
