Wagner never said he received an offer from the Joneses. He said, “We had conversations. I love (Cowboys defensive coordinator) Dan Quinn and have a lot of respect for him.”

Fisher seems to be trying to prove himself, but Wagner doesn't even say he talked to the Joneses. He has a lot of respect for Quinn, and I'm sure Quinn was trying to get him to come here. If Fisher wants us to believe Wagner was offered a contract by the Joneses, then he needs to quote him saying that. Wagner saying it was "a real thing" as far as Fisher's "exploratory talks" go doesn't tell us anything about the Joneses' level of involvement. It could have been Quinn coming to them and saying he really wants Wagner and had talked to him about coming here and Stephen going, "That's nice, Dan."

Great rant !! The fact that they can’t see the value of Wagner beyond just his ability. Is amazing. What he would have done for the defense is worth every penny of what he was asking. He would have locked down the MB ? Which would have greatly opened up Micah to be free to roam and wreak havoc from all over the field. One move like that could change the entire complexion of the defense. And that doesn’t include having an instant field general out there. That oh by the way has helped lead a team to two super bowls. Absolute fools running this ship. Nothing that everyone doesn’t already know.
