This offseason has become one big question mark.
These are assumptions so bear with me:
FO pays QB elite contract implying it's a win now team. I mean, you don't pay that kinda QB money if your mindset is a re-build.
And THEN this off season the total exodus of said QB's WR1, RT1, LG1, and WR3.
Defensively, the best pass rusher is lost.
All of these moves made without attempts at restructures or extending down the road contracts of the lost players. With the exception of the pass rusher.
And NOW...
The replacement players slated to start are not as good as the lost homegrown players or cheap free agents acquired to replace them..
Why do you pay the QB that kinda contract if your intent is not to surround him with as much "legitimate" help as possible.
And Around The League:
Tampa gets Brady and aggressively surrounds him with as much help as possible.
The Rams grab Stafford and follow suit of the Tampa Bay model sparing no expense towards cap savings or being afraid to grab quality.
The Broncos...
Heck, the Dolphins and Browns even...
I truly am at a loss on how this management views "how to improve your team", smh.
