I think he will be gone. Luepke will take his spot. We have Pollard, Deuce, Luepke, Dowdle.
If Jones is kept after his suspension ends, it will be because Dowdle isn't playing well IMO. Of course, like the others, Jones could be added to the practice squad instead.

With Dowdle getting injured a few years ago gave Milik the job. We really haven’t seen much of Dowdle playing. He was here in 2020 season but only had a few carrys. But had some descent kickoff returns, one for 64 yards. Want to see what jones can do but needs to get on the field.

Honestly, not calling out any one poster here, but Waletzko is essentially a rookie. A rookie. Dunking on him right now is a bit much, at least as far as talent assessment is concerned. If you want to complain he's been too prone to injury, that's just a point of fact more than an opinion. That's valid. But anyone who thinks a 4th rounder who is playing his first real NFL football should be discarded so easily is really saying, in essence, Will McClay doesn't know what the hell he's doing. Sure, you miss on some draft picks even if you're Will McClay, but to lambast a player so early is far, far too premature.

Funny how people keep ignoring the fact it is Waletzkos other shoulder and it was ok to play one week after hurting it.

Since he played with it last week, I think he could come back at any time. The idea is that they won't need him right away. Save him for later.
I think that is exactly right. I doubt we see him much in September. I'd give him snaps weekly. Time to get him going against live action against starters not scrubs.

Well apparently this is the OTHER shoulder that acted up this time. Some people's bodies aint made to play football. He may be one of them.
Yeah. He has a week or so to get going. If he keeps getting shoulder problems during the season he will need to go. We just need a replacement.

My gut is this will be his last NFL season. He's broken.
Your gut is most likely full of poop. They described the injury as very minor and he played the whole game last week. I think this is more of a stash him on IR move the a reflection that they are ready to move on. I remember the Bears walking away from Colombo....that worked out pretty well for us. Seems like you al out have some weird personal issue against him

I just saw one of my draft pet cats get cut-Darius Rush South Carolina. He fits Quinn's traits to a tee.

From a reporter from the Voldemort media source...

Cowboys are re-signing OT Earl Bostick Jr. to their practice squad, a person familiar with the move said. Players who were waived Tuesday are expected to fill most, but not all, of the practice squad's 16 spots.
