CFZ Want Some Humor? Watch a typical Game Day Thread

Sometimes I join in, but I find it distracting at times when I'm trying to watch the game. I end up missing plays, or just not paying close enough attention to remember plays.

I generally wait 20-30 minutes to start watching so I can control where I am in the telecast & read the comments in relation to what is happening on the field at that time. I have to admit, it's like a naughty indulgence. Bob left the funniest part. The same folks who were the most "vocal" early in the game are generally the same ones saying the exact opposite by the end of the game.

I can’t follow the in game postings. I get too focused on the game. Also, my emotions would probably get me banned for typing something inappropriate so it’s probably best that I don’t ever post during games.

I am one that partakes in the game day thread. I enjoy watching the game and reading some of the comments after a play.
Isn't it basically the same thing we all do if we're at a sports bar, a friends house, or at the actual game?
I'll admit that I am one of those that shouts at the TV and comments "Run The Ball"!

Yes, we all know it's like that. It's what makes those threads fun-the emotional swings that come with fandom. Of course, there is always some dour humbug in there dampening the fun with their virtue signaling super fandom.

Cowboys fans are EXACTLY like all fans in the league. We all say dumb **** throughout not only game day, but throughout the week. It's just how fans are especially when surrounded by other dumb fans.

I would avoid it, if not for the fact that I have decided not to watch anymore Cowboys games this year (all three of our losses occurred when I watched the game live). It's the only way for me to tell what is going on real time during the game...espn gamecast takes to long to refresh.

As a result I live vicariously through the highs and lows of the game day thread.

Yups, that why the Scooter McGruder parody's are funny because that how most fans see the game and react up and down.

this is why I do not come here during the games..wait until the next day or later after the game for some real more levelheaded debates once the final tally is in..

It’s just crazy
So much over reaction to a single play that it makes me wonder how many actually watch much football
They act like other teams score on every drive, no other player in the league gets beat on a play

This is a great forum and while I have disagreements with people here I never hold any personal grudges, but I wait until after the game is over to check in.

Some of the biggest laughs are during the game day threads with fans living from play to play. Saw several fire McCarthy posts after he chose to go for it on fourth down in Cowboys territory and failed. There were some bench Dak posts after Dak’s two INT‘s. One fan claimed he’s the worst QB ever. Practically every week there’s at least a few fans claiming they’re done with the team due to frustration over a bad play or a loss. One minute they’re calling a player an idiot and the next minute they’re giving them props. An afternoon on the game chat is like spending the day at the laugh factory. Lol

I rarely pop in the forum during the game, not because of the reactions, but because I’m too busy watching the game. Honestly, the gameday reactions don’t bother me at all, I would hope fans get into the game, it’s normal. What irks the hell out of me though is the entire forum the week after a big loss. That’s when I avoid it like the plague. LOL

I read, sometimes post, mostly to see fan's reaction to certain plays. Kind of like the non-catch in the end zone. I enjoyed everyone's take on it. Some knew the rules a lot better than others, but emotions cloud your eyes.

During the Vikings game, there was a play where Prescott was flushed from the pocket; he was hesitating, waiting for someone to come open - but he could have taken off and ran for a 1st down + more yardage.
I posted my opinion...some clown responded 'go grab a Kleenex'
Would rather watch the game and ignore commenting than to put up with "members" who won't post their disagreement in a respectful manner.
