Following a game day thread is an emotional suicide. Don't have the heart or the stomach for it. Hell it's difficult to come here after a WIN. It's fire everyone 24/7 almost.

I berate them whether we win or lose. I don't like the stupidity of fans calling players or coaches morons, idiots, stupid, Fat Mike, Ewok etc! Venting frustration is fine, but personal attacks are not cool with me.

It would be too distracting from the game for me. I guess fans who aren’t able to watch the game is a way to keep up. Or maybe for fans watching the game alone .

I'm always alone when watching the games, so that's why I'm always in the GameDay threads. It provides a sense of fellowship during the games.
 
Any reasonably decent conversation or game analysis is impossible with most posts being 2-3 words….something like “we suck.”

Pages go by and anything worthwhile gets buried immediately.

People incessantly feel the need to write something like “yay, TD.”

Yeah we know.

Dunno if there’s a way to have a real discussion game thread vs a BS one. I wouldn’t think so since most think they are being profound by asking how a decent player that just got beat on a play is still in the league.

The fact that people were acting like a 7 year multi pro bowl veteran was exposed into showing his “true colors” of being a bad QB was so crazy.

Like what player in the history of the NFL fools the league for 7 years and it all comes crashing down in a week 1 game lol. So wild.

I love the GameDay threads.
It's like watching the game with other Cowboys fans.
I hate missing it, when I am otherwise not available.
 
A while back I made up a bingo game comprised of those reactions.

I called it "Game Thread Bingo"

The way the game works is you fill out a 3X3 or 4X4 card with those comments. Each time someone post an eligible comment, you cross out that corresponding comment on your card of 4X4 comments.

The first one to cross out a row, column, or diagonal wins.

I got three out quick but it took a whole ten minutes later to get "Fire the Head Coach".

it was kind of an inside joke to four or five of us after that. For almost a year if someone had a comment on the game thread, one of us would follow it up with a one word response.......Bingo!

I can't drink anymore but if I could you can bet I would be drinking heavily during every Cowboys Giants game.
