Looking at ESPN.com Ware was credited with 2 sacks tonight and Ellis with 1 which puts them at 13 and 12.5 respectively (if my math is right).

That also puts them both in the top 3 in the league in sacks (of course nobody else has played yet this week). Pretty impressive.

Surprised Ware has two as I thought he'd only have 1 or 1.5 tonight.

When was the last time we ever had a pass rushing tandem this good? Wow, great job.

It appeared that our pass rush was non existent in the first half, but we got a great push and got some sacks in the 2nd half. My only beef is we give up way too many 3rd/4th downs. That really needs to stop.

And we're #2 overall in sacks right now.

5 tonight the most all year.

plus we only gave up 216 yards, 11 first downs and had another goal line stand.

those goal line stands are key to me, all good teams give up yards and all good teams play good redzone defense.

The Panthers were 3-12 on third and fourth down.

Pretty impressive, I believe Ware is the single most toughest defender in the entire NFL...

I think Greg Ellis should be the comeback player of the year.

they don't understand that the type of coverage we run, cover 2, is going to give up passes, esp. when the pass-rush doesn't get there

btw, they said at the beginning of the broadcast that Ware and Ellis were 1 and 2 for LBs in sacks, tonight they'll probably stay that way heading into next week

You and I are thinking alike on this subject, absolutely! How much longer do you think he'll play?
