Miles will be gone. Ware won't be. He's not done and he's already said he'll restructure his deal or whatever it takes to help the team.

Here is the likely sequence of events in Ware's case:
1) Cowboys lose, depressions sets in
2) Reporter asks if he will take a pay cut
3) Sure I will, to help the team
4) Cell phone rings immediately from agent "Are you crazy? You are taking food out of my mouth!"
5) While on the phone with agent, other line rings (the wife)
6) Wife states "Are you trying to take my luxury out of my pocket book?"
7) Ware comes out the next day saying "I never said I would take a pay cut"

my understanding is the limit on june 1 cuts are just for those prior to june 1. after june 1 i don't think there is a cap. but a june 1 cuts savings does'nt come till june 1

You are correct.
Players cut during training camp hit the cap just like a June 1st cut. Obviously, there is no limit on training camp cuts.

If Jerry truly believe he his a goog GM, he will cut Ware if Ware refuses a pay cut. That is what good GMs do.

If you can get them on the team for what it would cost to cut them it becomes a no-brainer similar to what we got out of Free.

Austin will definitely be released he misses too many games due to his hammy and his play has been inconsistent but I would be very surprised if Ware isn't back. Injuries have brought Ware down he had 4 sacks in the first 3 games this season when he was completely healthy and only 2 sacks the final 13 games once the injuries started cropping up. With him turning 32 in July and having issues with his health the last 2 seasons it's possible he could be let go if he doesn't take a pay cut.
As bad as the defense has been the talent needs to be overhauled and the Cowboys may decide to part ways with Ware but it would be surprising. I would give him one more season because I would hate to see a healthy Ware put up 14 sacks on a more organized team that's better coached.

The idea that Ware has to go no matter what is ridiculous. Should he take a pay cut? Absolutely, but to say he should just be pushed away and kicked to the curb is crazy. He's 31, not 38 and I'd hardly say he's a big problem as far as attitude/locker room affect. I have no doubt that Demarcus wants to win and tries his heart out every game he can.
