Ware keeping a return to Dallas open

I always thought this was a high probability signing.

If he leaves Denver, he is not going to want to go anywhere else and start over.

Interviews he had last season before the Super Bowl showed that he had some regret that he was not there with the Cowboys. I believe he would love to repay Jerry for being so gracious and letting him choose his next team and come here and try to be that missing piece.

Ware as a situational pass rusher would not be a bad thing. You can't depend on him for more than a role player at this point and we would still need to add another pass rusher or two.

The only thing is that Ware would be a situational player here, which means he gets situational pay. I think someone else would pay him more than we would. Loved Ware and his contribution to the team but I'm not sure that this would be a good move. He wasn't nearly as effective in a 4-3 scheme as he is in a 3-4, situational guy or not.

Well apparently he thinks he can still play. We would have to evaluate that and go from there.

It might even be for a discount......I'm open to any decent pass rusher that actually wants to come here. Everyone else should also, he's probably better than Mayowa right now.

The only way Ware returns to play here, is if they screw up the draft and come away without any of the top DE's. By screw up, i mean the draft doesn't fall their way according to their draft board. Other than trading up without giving up too much.

As well, none of the current injured surgery recover players pan out. Which is highly likely given this teams track record and bad luck.

So wait until TC and see where we are. I don't want to say he is a progress stopper, as we need players to have their progress stopped...LOL...but we do have some young developing players, but still need that blue chip performance guy. I can't see one in our current group. I am tired of saying one will emerge. It's been too long.
This is why we need a true DL coach.

Gotta love this time of year, when 'the news' is run by agents trying to increase their leverage.

And guys like Shefter turning into shills in exchange for his inside information during the season.

You do know this is very realistic and if he hits the open market there will be a lot of interest.

Demarcus Ware and Cordalle Patterson are probably the most predictable signing we would make this offseason.

You have ask is a healthy Ware for 6-8 games better than a full season of healthy Mayowa/J.Crawford?

Crawford? Probably but I like the guy, he's not a. Great comparasion. Mayowa really did turn it on and become a decent pass rusher after the coaching staff made him inactive for two games.

If Ware came, he would have to be a situational pass rusher. In that role, he could still be successful.

My belief is that Ware would want to retire with the Cowboys. Even if it was a 1 day signing. If the numbers work & he can stay healthy, it can't hurt & he can retire with us at the end of the season.

No, actually I don't "know this" at all. What I do know is the fact that he's breaking down, has been repeatedly injured, and is producing less and less each year. What's most "realistic" is that he stays in Denver in a 3-4 defense, and finishes up his Hall of Fame career there.

You may have that opinion, but don't get your hopes up.
