If indeed the coaching staff decided to go contain (which I agree is the most likely scenario), then the decision to go to a prevent defense against a team still having all 3 timeouts with over half of the 4th quarter left was absolutely terrible. Force JC to make a play. Don't simply hand 8-12 yard gains to him on a silver freakin' platter.

And he was a monster today BTW.
I was so upset about this I could spit nails. He was EXHAUSTED!!!!!! Why did we draft Spencer if we were going to play DeMArcus until he puked? That is bad awarness on the coaching staff's part!eman721;1774147 said:Something really jumped out at me on the last few 'Skins drives...the lack of Ware to even ATTEMPT to rush the passer.
This was easily the most frustrating aspect of the 4th quarter for me. He would literally stand up at the snap, just kind of waltz into Samuels, engage, and hardly attempt to even fight him off. It was completely different than his explosions off the line we were seeing earlier. This was most evident to me on the 'Skins last TD drive.
I think this could be one of two things, a) Ware was exhausted, or b) the coaches wanted him to focus on contain. Either way, it was complete crap. If a) was the case, get Ware off the field and let him take a breather for chrissakes. If b), the coaches need to get their heads out of their rears. Allowing Campbell to sit back and take his choice of receiver without any semblance of a passrush is completely moronic.
Yes, we won, and that is really all that matters. We have a stranglehold on the division. But this really pissed me off.

Give me a break. I know that Ware is awesome. Clearly he had a helluva game.dbair1967;1774980 said:to complain about Ware is just assinine...him and Newman were basically the only guys that showed up on defense today...the guy couldnt be blocked the entire game, the problem is nobody else did jack
the last couple of series he was clearly gassed...I think he may have even came out at the end for a snap or two...other than that, he was out there every play...and they had 50+ drop backs

However, he was a completely different player on the last couple of drives. Whatever the reason (being exhausted so that he should clearly be given a breather, or the coaches changing the scheme), I was not putting it on him, but the coaches. Never was I complaining about Ware.
The fact that you were too dense to pick up on this really doesn't surprise me.
