Anyone heard about the progress of these 2 guys so far in camp?? Since they were the 2 "super guards" that went before Frederick, and we all wanted one of them, just curious how they've looked. We'll always compare the careers of these 2, to Frederick's.

Thread yesterday indicated Cooper had been outstanding. Haven't heard about Warmack, but I'd imagine he looks like an all pro here before any games have been played.

Personally, I don't compare either of these guys to Frederick, since they both went so much earlier, had multiple other OLs go before our pick, and then they probably won't play the same positions most of their NFL careers. But I expect all three to be pretty good OL for a long time, at the very least.

Can't compare a guy that went 31st to 2 top 10 picks.. But no I haven't heard much other than the fact that they were 2 of the last rookies to get signed

Whoah, I somehow missed this. Warmack held out the first 5 days of camp before finally signing.

Cooper was a hold out too. Both arguing over "language". It would have been great to have either, but considering that we traded down, got an extra pick, and used it on Williams, I'm fine with how we made out.

I'd rather hear about Floyd, the top 5 pick that we should have drafted. Or Pough, or the other OL that was taken after traded down. Neither Womack or Cooper were a possibility unless we traded up.

No one should compare Frederick to those two. Dallas had no chance to draft either one. It's not like they passed on them and took Frederick.

Haven't heard much about Floyd other than he's rotating with the Vik's DLine. Pugh is out with a concussion.

On another "what could have been" note, apparently Menelik Watson has not participated at all in training camp.

the only comparison I want to see is Eifert vs Fred+Williams

Any comparison including Cooper and Frederick would have to be:

Cooper vs Frederick + Escobar + Williams for sure (+ maybe Randle or Holloman)

Total apples and oranges

I'm actually more interested in the progress of Larry Warford, who is fighting for first team reps at RG. Cooper and Warmack don't interest me because we couldn't have landed them.
Warford is starting to get fitst team reps and is showing off his power at camp. His footwork has improved alot with pro coaching and he is starting to impress. He has had some rookie moments, but from what I have read, Dallas missed out on a solid line prospect.

Ive read that Fredrick looks like a keeper at center and has even looked good at guard.

How exactly did they miss out? He was not available at any point for the Cowboys. I don't care how good he is, I'm glad they didn't trade the 3 picks it would have taken to get him.

We was referring to Larry Warford, who was taken at pick #75... Not Warmack.

I think you are confusing Warmack with Warford. Since Warford wasn't picked until the third round he certainly was available to us.
