I'd rather hear about Floyd, the top 5 pick that we should have drafted. Or Pough, or the other OL that was taken after traded down. Neither Womack or Cooper were a possibility unless we traded up.

I've tried to find info on Floyd since OTA's, but the vikings coverage is horrible to non-existent. The stuff the media gives out there is basically what the coaches tell them, which is very little.

I found one mention of him in camp where he made two tackles behind the line of scrimmage but that was it.

Warford is starting to get fitst team reps and is showing off his power at camp. His footwork has improved alot with pro coaching and he is starting to impress. He has had some rookie moments, but from what I have read, Dallas missed out on a solid line prospect.

@Risen Star put down the knife.

I doubt you'll hear much about Floyd this season because he'll just be part of a rotation. Next season may be a different story.

Not a doubt in my mind. He's going to be one of the better Gs in football over his career and a much better value and player than Gavin Escobar.

The opportunities lost along the OL over the last couple of years is depressing.

How exactly did they miss out? He was not available at any point for the Cowboys. I don't care how good he is, I'm glad they didn't trade the 3 picks it would have taken to get him.
So he was not available at any point? Yes he was. A quick look at the draft board shows that he was. The manner in which the Cowboys draft was conducted could have been much different.

It really is. They've made it so hard on themselves when in reality all they've needed to do is add 1 or 2 players a year for the last 3-4 years to fix this mess. Yet they refuse to do it for some reason. That's why we find ourselves a month from the season beginning still debating whether david freaking arkin and kevin kowalski (sp?) should be starting. Like you said, depressing.

The guy obviously thought you meant Warmack.

Um, what's depressing about a fourth-round pick potentially starting?

Have you read about all the ZBS stretch plays they are running now? Warford is considered a phonebooth blocker that needs to play in a man scheme. He did not fit which is why they didn't have him on their board.

And Warford getting some starting reps means about as much as Arkin getting them in Cowboys camp. Detroit released Stephen Peterman in the offseason so they don't have an established starter there.

Watch LA today and remember what we were. Hopefully it raises your standards. Those 4 players are scrubs. We're just trying to find who sucks the least from all of them.

Yeah, I'll get right on that.

Who cares! I still want to compare DeCastro to Claiborne! It's more important, and easier because they play two entirely different positions!!

I listen to NFL on SiriusXM a lot, and they have been going through the different camps. Cooper and Warmack are still thinking to much, but their physical talent is showing through. Surprisingly, the one who is supposedly physically dominating is Long in Chicago. As for Warford, Schwartz stated that he is a day one starter.

Concerning Floyd, it was reported a couple of days ago that he is starting displaying his top 5 talent in Minnesota.

Take it for what it is worth.

Link to here Schwartz referred to Warford as a "day one" starter?

Buy yourself a car with satellite radio, and listen to the different training camp reports from where they are reporting. How's that for a link!

Did they also happen to mention that he was running 3rd team behind Kevin Williams and Christian Ballard?
