Was Davis expected to get more than Eric Steinbach coming into FA?

I have to laugh at those that try and claim that Davis was as good as Steinbach. But then again they claim to know more then every columnist, scout, etc that put Steinbach and Dielman as the top 2 guards available.

so what if he isnt? he's here now...as far as we know 1) we didnt want the other 2 guys and possibly 2) they didnt want to play here for us

I have to laugh at you because it makes no difference now. They are all signed to their teams.

No amount of complaining about it will change it.

I know...how about put a proclamation in your sig line that your think he is a bad signing and we should have signed one of the others...maybe that will make you feel better.

I thought that they would keep Big. One of his consistency issues comes from his head coach not talking with him for two years

,I just do not see any Left Tackles on the horizon, any draft pick they will need to develop and the Free Agent Class is headed by Leonard Davis as the top olineman..I felt they could have tagged him for a year, draft a stud and give him a year to develop, now it seems really shaky...

Big had all the natural ability to be great. I wouldnt mind him coming back, but not at 12 million a year. That type of money is reserved for the 5 best tackles in the NFL. He is definatly not in that class.

Unfortunaltey Davis looks like he will be like S. Rice and M. Pittman and go play for someone who will end up going on to win a Super Bowl. And Tom2183 yes I did watch all the games and there are plenty of other players who are getting paid too much money and not "Performing" up to their potential as well. The Cards" sucked before Davis and will continue to suck after he leaves. I watched him start 91 of 96 games and you can't say that about many other offensive lineman.

If other and better teams than the Cardinals are going to pay 12-15 million for him I think the Bidwells need to get off the check book and pay him. He's been the anchor of the o line since he's been in the league. You cant get to the pro bowl as a o lineman without a supporting cast.

I think it is a mistake especially if he goes to someone in the divsion-the alternatives are scary since he is by far the best free agent available-

yea all from his link. I also went to another AZ forum and I would say 70% of them wanted LD to come back and play Guard for them
