Was it smart to leave lucky home for "this" game?

It was irrelevant. He's a spare part. He impacts nothing.
That my friend is not true. He is a spare part but the Dunbar goof on the kickoff and the lack of the sweep look allowed the backers and ends to collapse the pocket much easier on passing downs and impact the run game.

Right. He's a fortunate pimple to even be on the team. He didn't invent the WR end around. Others can run it. Just as well too.
If others can run it, why does he have the job? Because he is the best at it, that's why. Don't get me wrong I'm not his biggest fan because of the fumbles, but he is the only player with the speed at WR to run that look on our team.

The problem wasn't the return man, it was the blockers that kept getting penalties on the returns. Would have been better off just fair catching everything.

I like that idea . . . and so does Chris Collingsworth.

Because you have to fill out your roster. He is not the only WR who can do it. Did you just start watching the Cowboys this year? Terrance Williams ran the reverse for years here. Effectively too.

Kind of hard to play someone who missed the final pre-game meeting and, more importantly, the walk-through practice.

i can't think of a single time in his entire career he was the difference maker on the field.

so no, i don't think it matters.
could it be he brought them luck??
This is first game he missed and they lost !

And you guys are not reading or getting what I said, I never said he was a difference maker , or big part of our offense, or a star player,
but he has made some good plays, and provided a spark at times.
Also some said anyone could do what he does, yet the cowboys left the jet sweep at home with lucky !!!!! hmmmm

I saw part of one of those walk thru's and it was quite amusing , neither one of those would affect how lucky played, he has a limited role, doing
same things every game.

Could be that lucky might have returned a punt for a td !

then i'm pretty sure he played the first giants game and we lost that one too.
with lucky playing the giants we're 0-1
with lucky NOT playing the giants, we're 0-1

for a combined total of his contributions to the wins or losses - 0-2.

Actually Beasley had a great return. He got it down to the Giants 28. And your right about other players committing the penalties, Which proves my point. They are committing the same penalties with him returning punts too. I'm not hating on Lucky and I wish his speed could be more of a factor in the offense but it's just 1 sweep play a game and he doesn't make that much of an impact on the game.

Given pretty much every return on Sunday came with a holding penalty or some garbage, him being there would have made ZERO difference.

Oh you all didn't know?? Lucky Whitehead is the MVP of this team...it's a shame that the media isn't putting him in the conversation with Stafford, Dak/Zeke, etc.

We turned the ball over just fine with him. I'm sure the fumble machine will be back and fumbling as good as ever this weekend

Lucky left himself out of this game for not adhering to team policy. You need discipline or the players will walk all over the coach..
