They'd already decided he was gone, and Jason probably was visiting with Houck, who has lived in CA since his retirement.

You guys just have to get your heads collectively around the fact that Jason is the coach of this team and that he's got an impact directly on all the big decisions that get made. These fantasies where you try to rationalize how that might not get the case are pure silliness.

You guys think JG has power to do that? He is about to have his power to call time outs away. Clap and he may throw challenge flags until he screws that up. His clock and game management skills are worse than ever. He should have been fired along with Linehan and alexander. I would have cleaned house. Run the same playbook with someone that can call these plays making game decisions and changes. Next year bring in a whole new Offense and playbook that can be taught during the offseason.
