Was Last Night A Boring Game?

I had to go to bed at 9pm. So I didn't watch. I was actually disappointed that we only scored 19 points. But heck, a win is a win. I'll take it in a heartbeat.

nope, it wasn't boring...really we let the giants stay in the game for the most part....a break late in the game and switch momentum it could easily have been a squeaker till the end.

I think a lot of fans have Harvey on the mind. I think a lot of fans dont understand divsional games. I think a lot of fans would rather be at the game instead of understanding the game.

That aside, great game for Dak and crew because they beat the team that swept them last year and had no worried. Our coaches really didnt care, but our players won despite them. I think Linehan should be getting tongue lashed and again I think Garrett keeps saying "guys i cant do this"

Giants brought a legit d, at least thats what the forum keeps saying, but it wont be the best D we face all year. Spags runs a good D vs us every time so im not concerned about that.
Their offense should be ashamed that right now its a one man offense. No reason that Marshall didnt put up better points or Shepard didnt roast us.

On the flip side who knwos if we see that our same D next game, they played really well considering whos not playing yet, but again got away from beating on Eli.

DLaw, is he that good, or is it a contract year, we dont know yet. lets see.

We have a lot to clean up, the Giants have a lot to clean up, first game only for the ratings but Dallas made more use of the Win than the Giants could have.

Yes. Not a lot of big plays and Garrett's conservative calls on 4th down was annoying. Essentially, we settled for field goals and the Giants couldn't manufacture points.

If you strip out the team names and look how this game went, it was incredibly boring. No big plays, one team inexorably pulling ahead such that the last 20 minutes of the game (after the Giants not-at-all-thrilling 10-minute drive ended in a field goal) had virtually no drama, poor passes, dropped balls, and general sloppiness (but not the kind that leads to turnovers). Yeah, it was an awful game to watch for non-Cowboys fans. For me, it was a joy.

I found solace in that I could watch both sides of the ball with some excitement...in years past, it was "get excited about offense, get really scared/frustrated with defense"

I was cheering for the 3&outs as much as a first down run by zeke

Yeah, it was a boring game.

The NFL was full of them this weekend.

It was a game of poor quality.

But overall we dominated, especially defensively, but that is more on the ineptness of the Giants than us being a dominant defense.

I'd be entertained in a 3-0 game, as long as we come out ahead. At least it wasn't sloppy football, like the Eagles-Commanders game was

You know...I hadn't thought about that...you are right.

For a first game it was pretty clean. Dak wasn't himself but for the most part...not many penalties, no Cowboys turnovers...I didn't see obvious blown assignments.

Was stress free so I enjoyed it.

As far as the rest of the NFL games, meh.....was really hard to watch. Maybe like people have said by week 4 the product should be better.

No, I appreciate the defensive domination. When defense dominates, game looks boring. I'm ok with boring as long as we're winning. Sure beats a fun loss.

Lotta truth to that. Giants generate a lot of boring games as they have a good defense w/ a generally bad offense.

Aside from OBJ Giants are a boring team.

For me, the game was not boring because I was expecting the Giants to step up in the second half. It was not until the 4th quarter that I realized the Giants were not coming back.

-Only one TD in game
-Not lot of big splash plays
-Giants weren't competitive and game wasn't close

Me? I was just grateful we won with ease and given the opponent...quite happy for the generally low-risk offense.

No!! I love watching any kind of a Cowboy win. Go Cowboys

I kept thinking that too. I was thinking, "this can't be so easy...these games are never easy."

It's rare a division-rival game isn't close.

I will take a boring win over an exciting loss like in the playoffs to the Packers any day
