Was Will Levis not No. 1 on the Cowboys draft board when the pick was made?

Stop playing the Victim Card... Levi's has been the meme drfat joke on Twitter for past 24hrs...Wake Up!!!

I Love Will Levis, I know my East Coast talent!....but he's a waste pick of a draft pick FOR the Cowboys.

Have fun like....Dak Hater :lmao:

Well, I'm sure you know how Dak takes his coffee in the morning.

The bigger question would be why do you want to draft a QB that has issues with interceptions? 26 game starts with 23 interceptions. I didn't like Sam Darnold coming out of college for the same reason. If we were taking a QB that high I would rather go with Hendon Hooker.

Best player available is a myth. It sounds good but doesn't work because the point is to build a team. Not to just collect talent. It has to be a perfect mix of need and Best available.
Wrong. You fill needs in free agency. The draft you do go BPA .

Will Levis, QB of Kentucky, was supposed to be a Top 5 pick before he started slipping. Was he not the top player on the Cowboys draft board when they made their choice at No. 26? Was he not the best player remaining?

In Cowboy World, why does "take the best player remaining at the top of your draft board" never apply to the most important position? Why do we (claim to) follow this rule when it's a defensive linemen but not a quarterback?

We are told it's too expensive to trade up to the top of the draft to go after a blue chip quarterback prospect. So what's the excuse when one, like Aaron Rodgers, slips to the bottom of the round and the Cowboys take Marcus Spears, instead? Why?

In the 35 years since we drafted Troy Aikman, through thick and thin, has there never been a single time in a first round when the best remaining player on the Cowboys draft board was a quarterback?

I'm tired of this BS .....
Supposed to be by whom? Bunch internet pundits and fans.

Obviously 32 teams, their coaches and scouts didn't think he was top 5

You're not going to get a can't miss quarterback prospect at 26. He's going to have perceived weaknesses. But this team refuses to trade up to a top pick to get one. So you don't leave yourself much choice, other than shopping in the bargain bin year after year, decade after decade of failure.
