Brunell vs. Romo? Dallas
Portis vs. Jones AND Barber? Washington
Cooley vs. Witten? Dallas
Randle El/Moss vs. Owens and Glenn? Dallas
O-line vs O-line? Washington
D-line vs D-line? Dallas
LBers vs LBers? Push
Springs/Rogers vs. Henry/Newman? Dallas
Archuleta/Taylor vs. Davis, Coleman, Watkins/Roy? Dallas
Novak vs. Vandy? Dallas
Frost vs. McBriar? Dallas

I love your homery heart, but I had to change RB, O-Line, and LBers.. still though, we definitely have the overall advantage..

I agree with your list. There is no way Jones and Barber are better than Portis. I noticed Cooley is compared to Witten even though they don't actually play the same position, but I they are used in the same way.

Brunell vs. Romo? Edge: Washington. Romo looked great against Carolina, but still must prove that he is better with a few more good games.
Portis vs. Jones AND Barber? Washington. Portis is a great back. Jones and Barber are not there yet.
Cooley vs. Witten? Dallas, even before you factor in the second stringers.
Randle El/Moss vs. Owens and Glenn? Dallas easily in this category.
O-line vs O-line? Dallas. The Cowboys block well for the run, but not as well in the passing game. Dallas. The Deadskins line hasn't done either very well.
D-line vs D-line? Dallas. The Cowboys don't get enough pressure here, but are great at stopping the run. The Commanders DL hasn't done a good job at either stopping the run or pass.
LBers vs LBers? Dallas by a mile.
Springs/Rogers vs. Henry/Newman? Dallas. Newman>Springs, Henry>Rogers
Archuleta/Taylor vs. Davis, Coleman, Watkins/Roy? Even. Both teams have one great safety and one below average safety starting.
Novak vs. Vandy? Dallas
Frost vs. McBriar? Dallas

Brunell is a limited QB. His game is quick square outs, screens, curls on the sidelines, and various very short throws. Very few intermediate posts, curls in the middle, and no deep outs.

He can throw posts, flies, and flags only when they are deep downfield, when he can heave the ball over the defense and hope his WR can run to the ball.

Those beautiful posts that Romo was connecting on vs New York and in Carolina are absent from Brunell's game. Given this and Romo's elusiveness you have to give a slight edge to Romo.

You, sir, must have hit up Mr. Irvin for some of his stash....the above is one of the most one sided opinions I've ever seen.

As a Commander fan that is pretty darn hard on his team I'd offer up a realistic and still decidedly Dallastic favored:

Portis vs. Jones AND Barber? Skins
Cooley vs. Witten? Tie
Randle El/Moss vs. Owens and Glenn? Dallas - Moss will be out
O-line vs O-line? Tie
D-line vs D-line? Dallas - Andre Carter is on autopilot (see Remote Control w/ Adam Sandler)
LBers vs LBers? Dallas - We have Holdman
Springs/Rogers vs. Henry/Newman? Dallas - probably - haven't seen our CBs healthy this year
Archuleta/Taylor vs. Davis, Coleman, Watkins/Roy? let me ship Adam "Archuletta gonna run right past ya" to another team and we have a push....with him - Dallas
Novak vs. Vandy? Dallas & any Pop Warner team
Frost vs. McBriar? Dallas & any team that fields a kicker sporting more than one limb below the waist.

Do you really hate Dallas? say it aint so... Do you hate Dallas? or the Dallas Cowboys?

I dont think you hate Dallas at all... I think you hate that the Commanders blow.... real.... real hard!

I'm curious as to why no one is including Betts in the equation while at the same time emphasizing Jones AND Barber. The way I see it:

G Att Att/G Yds Avg Yds/G TD FD's 20+

Dallas 7 229 32.7 984 4.3 140.6 12 55 6

Washington 7 196 28.0 899 4.6 128.4 7 50 5

When it comes to stats, its rather hard to judge the RB's without including the OL in the equation, but you can pick up trends and find some interesting clues as to the efficiency of RB's. Seeing as how most of us see both the Commanders and the Cowboys lines as being comparable...this becomes a little more plausible.

I usually emphasize the average per carry when it comes to judging the backs themselves. In this case, the both teams are efficient, with the edge going to the Skins. Beyond that, the Cowboys have clearly dominated the skins rushing game statistically.

Before I looked up these stats, I would've given these teams a push as far as backs go, but after having done so...I'll give a slight edge to the boys. I do so, not because I think JJ is a superior runner to Portis (I don't), but because I think our tandem has been more efficient. We've used our duo more effectively than the Skins. What translates onto the field are the only stats that matter...and ours are better. IMO.

I would attribute that to Al Saunders' playcalling. Parcells has said himself that Saunders is pretty indiscriminate with his playcalling and doesn't run the ball with any kind of consistency.
