Game Day Washington Commanders at Dallas Cowboys Postgame

either way.. Washington should be embarrassed it took the last play of a second game against our backups to win a game they nearly went into overtime and split games with us but they played our backups twice no one could there's nothing to be bragging there is no bragging rights I don't even get Philly but at least Philly throttled us both games they have something to brag about if they wanna brag about beating backups but here in this league to me you gotta beat the starters in order to be bragging..
Agreed, it took Mariota to win the game.

Oh, ok I guess it doesnt help to have Mahomes and Brady? Lol sure.
people here think the QB hires the staff; does the drafting and FA and also does the offensive and defensive scheming

Do they though? I think they put you a huge distance towards the goal. The Pats are a great example of that with Brady gone now.

The NFL needs a draft lottery. At least 8 teams in my opinion started losing (tanking) on purpose after Thanksgiving.
I don’t think any team really tanked. They’re just that bad and other teams records exploded beating bad teams.

You caught me being hyperbolic, but it’s cruel to the fanbase that Lance was told to play the roll of a pocket passer in the red zone, when his speed could have made a difference
I guess the coaches thought that the shotgun formation would give Lance his best chance to ‘see’ the defense. There were several times I wished he’d pulled the ball back and rolled out to his right - looked like a lot of open field to exploit OR play action/improv. I can see why their confidence in him is limited. Dude is raw.

or strategic thinkers that understand when the season has long been lost.
Only losers think that losing is acceptable. Or, worse, "strategic."
It's a philosophical disagreement. I don't believe in losing games on purpose, under any circumstances. Or permitting players to think such is acceptable. Once they're used to it, it becomes part of a negative team culture.

Is Trey Lance ready to be a "star" in the XFL?? :yourock:
If I was him, I'd probably sign with an XFL team to get some playing time and see if I could drive up my market value. He may never turn out to be a quality NFL player, but he really needs to play if he's ever going to get there.

He can only be a good tailback, never be a good QB

And it wasn't that long ago before Mayfield was a bad QB or Darnold. Some of these guys just need time before they figure out the game on this level. They also need to be put in the right circumstances.
