I'd rather have 10 years of always being in the hunt over 1 Super Bowl and then 10 years of no playoff action.

The way our front office does things, consistency is going to be difficult to maintain.

I saw a poster on ES taking notice of how the skins are trying to build with 2nd - 6th year vets via trade & free agency. This guy was asking peoples opinions on that method (we can call it the Gibbs method) vs. the more popular building through the draft.

My Opinion:

Acquisitions through trading and free agency is all good for patching holes but you will have serious problems building a dominant team that will be able to last more than 1-2 years.

This may be the result of this era of free agency but we truely will be able to see because it is quite apparent that the cowboys have built through the draft, and the Commanders have now built through the Gibbs Method. Only time will tell.

That piece of journalism was fixed minutes after it hit the press. Denver and Washington will flip-flop positions in the first round, not receive Washington's pick outright.

3rd round pick and a few slots in the first round, potentially.

The deal has 2 conditions.

A. If Washington is worse than Denver, the Broncos get to switch #1 picks with them and get their 3rd rounder as well.

or...

B. If Washington is better than Denver, the Broncos get Washington's 3rd & 4th rounders.

thats makes more sense, it still is a very bad deal for the Deadskins. But I did'nt see them giving them a first. Swapping a first is still bad though.
