Chances are that if we fail in the playoffs it will be because of Dak...don't need to look further than his brain fart in the 9ers game. That being said he is the best we have, and give the team credit they are trying to do their best to not have to have him be the focus of our end game goals
The brain fart when the game was already over? That brain fart?

Even if they clock that ball, there is less than 1% chance we can win.

Please point to anything else in the playoffs you think was on him?

Was giving up 300 yards rushing vs the Rams his fault too? How about Arod completing the miracle throw to beat us?

CHANCES are...the Defense will let someone run all over them or give up the losing play late, if we are really looking at this objectively.

All he’s done is lead them to 12 wins and probably 13 wins these last 2 years. Like him or not he’s the QB for another 2 years at least.

So what thread can be started next week to get out in front of the unreasonable haters?

"How many points does defense have to give up and how many points does Dak have to put up in a loss to prevent unreasonable hate?"

Unreasonable is unreasonable...but it seems like just making a post before a possible loss would get out ahead of all the trash posts claiming Dak is trash because we lost when he actually played well.

Someone just needs to start a Thread that unreasonable haters cant work off of.
The haters are running out of things to crap on Dak about. They’re down to “he can’t win a playoff game.”. When he answers that, they’ll come up with something guaranteed. Their lives revolve around crapping on Dak.

I'd say 5 years and he will get better with age.

Washington is in an endless circle looking for a QB. So is Indy. The Falcons are in that mix. The Saints are also. The Jets. Houston. Maybe the Giants depending on you feel about their QB. Not enough good QBs to go around.

It's amazing that fans act like we would have won if we had 1 more play against the 49ers from their 25 yard line, needing a TD.

Dak's not why we lost that game. We lost that game because we got beaten up in the trenches and committed 14 penalties.
that is one in a string of events that has cost us games....

Really? Having him average 35 passes a game over the last month is their attempt to take the focus off him?
last week they took the run game away from us...he had no choice to throw. They added Ty, brought in OL help...we have 3 solid TE's. Do you think they did this for fun? Ownership has done more to protect him that other teams have done for their QB's...and I am not a Dak fanboy..

People are eager to join this huh?

No thanks.

There’s a lot of clueless fans who seem to think the Cowboys situation is no better than those teams. Lol They continue to come on this board complaining the Cowboys don’t use premium draft picks on QBs as if that guarantees you’ll land a franchise QB. One knucklehead talked about how Jacksonville used a premium pick on Trevor Lawrence, and now they have their QB of the future. He failed to mention they burned a couple of top 10 picks on Blaine Gabbert and Blake Bortles. The odds of hitting on a QB in the first round of the NFL draft is no better than 50-50. At least half of them go bust. Four QBs were taken in the top 10 of the 2018 draft and three went bust.

And on Lawrence, there is no guarantee he is a Franchise QB either.

He had a good season and certainly tore us apart. He also threw 1 td in the last 3 games and had some huge misses in last nights game.

Good prospect, has a good chance to become a franchise QB, but not a foregone conclusion.

He has averaged over 30 passes a game for the year. They took his best WR away in Cooper and a guy that had become a security blanket in Wilson. They refuse to make Pollard the lead back even though he clearly is. Keeping Cooper and Wilson and starting Pollard would have been more protection.

No assurances with Trevor Lawrence, but he has come on in recent weeks. He did miss a wide-open receiver in the endzone for a TD that could have cost Jacksonville the game yesterday.

Dumping Dak would provide confirmation that Jerry is unfortunately somewhere between Stage 4 & Stage 6 of Dementia.

Every team in the league is looking for “that Dude” and there are very few of them. This is clearly debatable, but from my vantage point the top untouchable tier is Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, and I’ll take a leap of faith and add Herbert. Sorry, TB12 and A-Aron, but I’m guilty of not coveting QB’s that can be covered (o.k., A-Aron is approx. 11 mos. away) by The Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA). That leads you to Lamar Jackson. Do you really want to swap (you’re not getting him anyway) for a guy whose playoff record is 1-3, while passing for a meager 225 yds/game, and doing so while obviously struggling with uniform identification proven by his tossing 5 picks compared to only 3 TD’s. Sorry LJ, I know you’re a dynamic runner, but I like my QB’s to be somewhat consistent passers. Tua – hell no, Cousins – no, “I don’t like that”.

The list is short, and this team doesn’t draft high enough to grab a guy that may be a long-term solution. And no, we shouldn’t mortgage the farm to move up to nab a potential “that Dude”.

I’m extremely comfortable riding with Dak. I suggest JJ & company get their collective heads out of their behinds and fill in the missing pieces.

Go Cowboys!

No game is decided by one player alone.
On the other hand, you can blame the GM.

What sane person dumps a Quarterback who's 12-4 and 12-5 year in and year out? That has never happened in the history of the NFL. Never once has a team gotten rid of a Quarterback who wins at the rate that Dak does, regardless of postseason success.
