One thing this franchise has done -- for the past 28 years--- is waste Hall of Famers with not even a single NFC Conference game.

DeMarcus Ware, Jason Witten and now Tyron Smith. And Lamb/Parsons/ Z Martin will taste this bitterness these players had tasted.

Poor guys....I'm sure the millions they earned eased their pain a bit.

One of the big problems is these Hall of Fame players and the rest of the good players we’ve had haven’t stepped up in the playoffs. DWare had a huge penalty on a third down stop against the Giants early in the first quarter in the 07 playoffs. It led to a Giants TD. Our best players are not getting it done in postseason. Either the players don’t have the desire or the coaches we’ve had can’t get it out of them. They never seem motivated for the playoffs.

did the cowboys waste their HOF careers or did they not step up enough and get it done for the franchise...you are giving the players way too much entitlement

they made money, and didn't win. this is on the players as well... maybe if tyron was healthier some of these stretch runs would have been different. Maybe if Martin didn't ask for a pay raise we would have more cap to spend elsewhere, at some point you have to figure out they only care about getting paid not winning championships. Demarcus Ware stayed hurt, so did Tyron and we held onto Witten way too long. If anything Witten was the voice of the Dak>Romo change so he actually set the franchise back.

That’s so true. And I remember Witten getting tackled far too easy in the playoff game vs Seattle in 2006. Didn’t fight for the 1st down( play before Romo’s bobble).

it’s all a game to the owner and his kid. They simply don’t care how the players are affected by the moronic decisions here. Another one bites the dust! He could go to KC and the worst owner in football and get that ring!

We’re having the same issue with Parsons in the playoffs. He’s not showing up. Only one sack and 4 QB pressures in 4 playoff games. Nick Bosa had more than that in the title game vs Detroit.

Ware wanted a ring and had to leave to get one. Witten was just trying to delay the end of his career. Smith, Lamb, Parsons, and Martin - I question whether they want to win or not. Holding out for more money doesn't exactly tell anyone you want to win championships, it tells everyone you are only in this for your own gain. Only time will tell whether the current players really have the desire to raise their game to a higher level, or if they are only playing to pad their bank accounts. My money is on the latter, which is why I won't spend any of my money to support them. Or Jerry..

Yeah,
sometimes the players efforts from game to game with such a drastic dropoff can make one wonder about the legitimacy of the game.
From player's performances to questionable coaching / game plans.
A entertainment business doing its thing.

But Jerry did get his 1 home playoff game this year and Taylor Swift got her Superbowl.

Just saying....

It’s a collective effort of stupid decisions overall. Having a solid group of players doesn’t make it a championship caliber team. Just 1 tiny example is 2nd round of the draft. Whatever strategy is happening there, it’s actually comical at this point. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg!

It's a shame that Tyron is leaving, but as far as I can see this year is a transition year, so much for the Jones' patience, the HC with one year of contract, the DC with one year of contract, for me they are already starting to restructure the team. they don't want to get into more problems of overpaying, the best thing for me is that it is also the same case for Dak, what they will do is simply restructure the contract to lower the cap and let Dak go next year, this already looks like a good restructuring of the team, it is a risk that has to be taken, I think Bellichick will be the HC next year and if Tray Lance is not the starter in 2025 at least it will not be Dak. winds of change are coming

Yes, and will continue as long as we're taking Kelvin and Jaylon and Schooner and Bruce Carter and MartyB in the 2nd round. Those wasted picks are a huge reason we don't reach the promise land. Trading high picks for WR's, ignoring needs in the draft, bad philosophy, and general lack of football knowledge.

It was talked about years ago, and it's still happening. Just very odd 2nd round picks. Think about it, who had Jaylon and Kelvin as 2nd round talents? No one I know of. Schooner was rated 3rd/4th.

Just throwing these picks away, year after year after year, and meanwhile watching our D not be able to stop the run and the OL fall apart yet again. Over and over and over, same ol' sheesh.
