Not that anyone cares what I think or that I have Valley Ranch bugged, but as much as I sincerely wanted to give Moore the benefit of a doubt, I can't convince myself that Jones & Jones Inc is actually going to go through with the proposition of going into the 2016 season without a back-up who has seen some actual success at some point in his career.
To that end, I'm looking at a certain former star Westlake QB, and recalling the Cowboys' propensity through the years to bring Texans home to play in Big D. Apples to apples, I might prefer McCown actually, but I can see the Browns keeping him--RGIII is just too fragile, and they can probably get away with keeping a developmental QB on their practice squad. While it's true that Foles hasn't excelled in two years, when he did excel, he really excelled... and it's not like there's a big price to pay (he's only owed another $1.5m from what's been reported, having already pocketed $6m in bonus from LAR), and it's not like he's been injured a lot.
Why hasn't anything already went down? My theory is probably the same as some of you others... until the Jets get their starting QB signed... as long as that domino is still standing... none of the others are going to fall. And of course, that probably means that everything stands pat until training camp, with Fitzpatrick's agent waiting to see if some other team's QB gets hurt, suddenly blessing him in July or August with leverage he just doesn't have today in May.
