Dang you've been paying attention to some Dallas Cowboys football.

I agree.

Same thing with Roy Williams. Julius and Roy are lacking confidence.

Roy can still get by better on pure talent than Julius can. But when Julius had his confidence back in the day he could just gash the heck out of defenses.

He will be a good back for someone next year. But if he stays in Big D im affraid it will be more of the same.

sometime i say somethings that are intelligent!!:)

No conference has appeared in more bcs championship games than the big 12.

BP, the confidence killer. I agree with you though that both guys rely heavily on confidence and 'mojo' when they play.

I also blame Roy's eating habits, and Julius' biceps for their careers falling apart.

Yeah Roy was a guy who flied around to the football and just blew guys up.

Well along with Julius Jones he got turned into a robot and instead of just playing football he started thinking to much and not just playing the game.

That has lead to them being out of position or just not making plays.

Then here comes the fans, like myself, who are pissed at them and wish they would just get back to playing football the way they know how.

Im not a Julius' supporter by any means. In fact I can not wait for him to be gone. But what does his biceps have to do with his poor running? Other than the fact he spent more time developing them instead of his chicken legs :laugh2:

BCS is a joke, Big 12 is very top heavy. Talent typically comes out of 3 schools.

Top to bottom the SEC is the better conference, and has been for many years. The reason more titles come out of the Big 12 is because its easy for teams to run through their conference schedule undefeated or with one loss. In the SEC thats almost impossible.

SEC is 352-177 .522 wining %
Big 12 is 304-144 .480 winning %

So when the SEC actually plays teams from other conferences in bowl games, they win more often than not.

OU should have not played against USC. Auburn should have.

Nebraska should have not played against Miami either.

OU should not have played against LSU either. USC should have.

Anyways what are we arguing about? College football sucks and is a bogus sport anyways. They can't even crown a true champion.

He worked his upper body out too much and lost his balance, he became way too top heavy - hence him falling on first contact every time.

Tony Temple is doing his best rendition of idol Emmitt Smith today. He looks thick and tough - made for the NFL.

I agree 100% Which is why I said he spent too much time on his biceps and not enough time on his chicken legs.

...Is like watching Julius Jones. No vision, can make the first man miss.
I've felt that way all year - it's definitely not just this game. He might be the most overrated back to come out of college in some time. It's a good thing that Jerry won't have a shot at him, because we all know that he has a soft spot for Razorbacks.

Would you guys say Peterson relies on his vision?

There is just so much you can do with your lower body before you lose quickness and flexibility. BULKING up down there can really mess you up.
I agree that the 8 lbs or so that JJ gained after his rookie year was all up top and fatally impacted his balance. You look at the guy in the last game of 2004, and the guy now and there is absolutley NO resemblence at all.

But is JJ really that fast to worry about putting on some lower body muscle? I mean he has absolutely no power do to no lower body strength IMO

That doesn't change the fact that those games happened now does it?

McFadden hasn't received much help. Casey Dick doesn't exactly scare anyone with his arm.

As a Missourian, I've gotta be pleased with what I've seen from Mizzou. Temple's been a solid player since he's been here. I don't think he's anywhere close to the 5-9 200 that he's listed at. I see him as a Dave Meggett-type of back in the NFL.

Parcells' ears just pricked up - he's been looking for the next one of those for about twenty years.

How much of this is the Arkansas coaching situation and how much is that Missouri is just the better team is hard to tell.
