Interesting, missed that.
Mike Peterson just lead with the crown of his helmet and hit him in the chest. No flag and I'm sure no fine.

Im glad we got one of the Jags LB's on our defense. He played on a tough defense and so far hes looked pretty good.

I think how you perceive this also has something to do with whether you think our struggles after the first couple series had something to do with Bledsoe getting dinged. If you look at how DB threw last night, which was generally accurate, I think he wasn't right after he got popped in the JV game. Of course JV has a good D also. But I think if we had another shot at them it would come out differently.

Good point!
The way the NFL levies these fines has no rhyme or reason.

Guys, I could really see the deadskins dropping the next two. Jax in two weeks is rock solid as we know and @ the Texans is not a lock for them. Not with the way they're playing, to be on the road with low confidence. Carr's QB rating is really high and given time he, Moulds and Johnson could do something. Back to the topic, yeah the Jags are really tough.

JAX matches well with Pittsburgh. Strength vs strength.

I was dissappointed as we didnt play balanced on offence, and didn't utilize our passing game to its potential.

A little...

Bledsoe had his worst game as a Cowboy and we still got 17 and outgained JV. And that's with what was probably a back issue of some variety. But having said that the game still bothers me some.

Definitely makes you feel better about Bledsoe and our offense. The whole week before the game and the week after the game people were just focusing on how poorly our offense played and not giving any props to the Jag's defense. Well, they just showed that they are for real (even without one of their best linemen, who got hurt during our game).

We played poorly, but they played really well. They have a very good team. If we had played at home and not during rain, it may have turned out differently. But they totally shut down Pittsburgh. Our offense did better than Pittsburgh's did tonight.

Jags still don't impress me with their offense. Leftwich isn't a superbowl caliber QB yet. He has to at least take them to the AFC championship game before I say that. Their defense is definately excellent. But their recievers are still nothing special. Yes, they have moments they look good, but come on. This is only game 2 so far. Wait until the 2nd half of the season before we proclaim them superbowl bound.
Yes, but that same arguement could have been said of Roethlisberger last year before he led his team to the Superbowl.

And where is it written that it's too early to be talking about Superbowl contenders? Just because it's only Week 2 doesn't mean folks aren't going to start making predictions about which teams look to be "pretenders or contenders".

It happens all the time and it's going to continue to happen long after you and I are having our diapers changed. ;)

Uh...I think Pittsburg had a notable pro bowl reciever while the Jags have who? Matt Jones? Yes, the Jags have big recievers, but their offense isn't superbowl quaility yet.

Pittsburgh just is so physical. They are probably actually a bad matchup for us. Especially with their D. But they aren't as good as they were a year ago on offense. They don't have another WR like they had with Randel El. They didn't have Troy Polawutshisname tonight so that hurt their D some.

New on here...and let me say I love this board compared to The Ranch.

I still can't help but think that if we kept spreading the ball around against the Jags, we could've really run away with that game early...Instead, it seems that we just were content to play Tunaball---get a 7-10 point lead and run and try to drain the clock. We have too many weapons to have to do that. Call me Steve Spurrier, but I think every time we are on offense, we should try to put points on the board. Lord knows we have the right weapons to do it. Tunaball takes us out of rhythm, and the Drew has to try to force things and make bad decisions later on in the game. Just my opinion.

I do think the Jags are legit though---and that early loss might have actually been a good thing for us down the road.

GO COWBOYS!

Two words for you: Baltimore Ravens

Just look at how great that offense was when they won their Superbowl.

If we played em in Dallas it woulda been a win. Playing on the road in the NFL ain't easy. Especially to start the season.

We lost that game on the road.

We had opportunity to win that game on road.

Agreed that at home we beat them... but we had them beat in their house. We didnt close the deal.

Lets sync up and meet them in SB....:star:

Exactly. Gotta give some props to JAX's defense. They played 2 tough games against pretty good teams and came away with great performances.

If their offense starts to come around, the rest of the AFC had better look out.

Don't compare the Jags D with Baltimores then. Get real. And remember Rothlisburger was playing sick tonight, with a temp of around 100. He shouldn't have been playing.
