Well Davis is gone for the game and the second string RB is hurt also, so they hav eno running game, they have no passing game since they can't block....I can't see them loosing unless SF just stands around and watches them score.

hmmm interesting......What would the NFL say if you purposly tanked the game to ge tthe first pick of the draft....lol

I can see Houston and 9er players right now. Hou player: No it is your ball. SF player: No thats alright I'm pretty sure it is yours. Coach throwing the red flag for review the TD for the other team. LOL

Davis is a good back even with a poor OL. I would see what I could get by trading the first pick....if they get it. They, imo, are a much better team than there record indicates.

I was in the breakroom today with a bunch of other co-workers and we were discussing who the Texans may pick, if they indeed get the number 1 pick in the draft.

One guys says they should go with Reggie Bush and only Reggie Bush.

I say they should go with an offensive lineman and there is some mock drafts showing the D'brickshaw what's his name being taken 1st overall.

Now some were saying that they would NEVER take an Offensive Lineman with the 1st pick overall and that it had probably never been done before.

Now my question is, would you take a Larry Allen/Orlando Pace/Anthony Munoz type lineman (if your scouts and hunch told you he had that potential) with the number 1 pick overall?

I would.
Your ball sack would have to hang pretty low to pass on Bush, what an unbelievable talent that kid is.

I'd trade down a few spots, stockpile some picks and take D'Brickashaw Ferguson in the 1st. Someone will be greedy for Bush or Leinart. Capitalize on greed.
That's the key right there. You're going to get your Offensive Lineman, don't sweat it.

You have atleast 3 in the top 20, and someone at like 3 or 4 will want to go after him. Hell, the Jets who will be around 3 wants him. They even have a website dedicated to wanting to get Bush (getreggiebush.com), and said they would sell the mercedes to get him.

That way you drop to 3, get your best O-Lineman, and have another 3 or 4 to help you in the draft. Hell, I would draft 2 O-Linemen if I were them. (except that we need one of those lol)

That would be the only way I take a OL in Round one starting with the first overall pick.

btw, you been doing well Hos?

Let me add this real quick though, Bush is a stud player and if your scouting department is good enough, you can get a nice Tackle in the 2nd and 3rd round. Their aren't any Reggie Bush's after he's off the board.

Would you take a Gale Sayers/Barry Sanders type running back with the #1 pick? I'm glad I don't have to make that decision. Lord knows Houston NEEDS to trade down for more picks but damn, how do you pass on Bush?

The question I pose to all of you, as hard as it would be to pass on Reggie Bush, will Bush keep Carr on his feet. Will Bush open running lanes for himself (I swear Bush can).

Houston has a decent defense. Domanick Davis is a pretty good back, and I'm sure if there was some semblance of a passing game and an offensive line, he'd look alot better.

Houston may take BUsh, but because there are at least 2 players who no one would frown on you for taking #1 (Leinhart being the other one), the value of that 1st overall pick is huge.

I believe Mike Martz will be their next head coach and will want Bush to use in his offense just loike he used Marshall Faulk.

For the sake of debate, if you do take Bush, you will eventually get a very good tackle (more good tackles in this world than Bush's) your line will be good at some point, and guess what? You have a stud RB tearing it up.

reggie bush. offensive linemen taken high recently have tanked big time. ask arizona, buffalo and oakland what do they have to show for their investments. bush can be the best back since bo jackson.

Not to mention, you can always have trade bait with the runner the Texans have already. (more opportunities to get a Tackle)

They should trade down, IF they get a good offer, they need help on the O-Line in a major way.

Houston has too many other holes they need to trade down and get as many players as possible.

Personally I trade the #1 pick to some other team that covets Bush and I stockpile the picks to try and help my team. Davis is a good RB and is similar to Bush so even if Bush is athletically the better player, Houston has too many holes for any one single player to come in and make that big of an impact.

I'm not all that sold on Bush, I think he's going to be a decent player, but I think he's alot like Westbrook and I certainly wouldn't take him #1 overall.

Texans should trade down and get a OT. Then find a good, solid veteran right guard to play along the tackle.

Even if Reggie Bush turns out great, they have an incredible amount of holes to fill on both offense and defense.

Your obviously sold on Bush, im not.

I really dont see him helping their club out. If I was going to get a back, I would want a brusier that gets better the more hits he takes.

Reggie Bush could end up being Brian Westbrook or could be Marshall Faulk.

Im not sold...sorry..
