Put that on Jerry and Stephen. They could have gotten him in here last week.

I don't know the contract is only 1.5 Mill with a possiblity of going to 3 mill. I think it takes 2 to make a deal Cowboys were interested. I never expect Jerry or Stephen to pay out what ever someone wants it has to be a 2 way deal that benifets the Cowboys and the player

yeah but he could have missed all of TC and still come back in time to prepare and be ready for the first game. The Cowboys have been back from Oxnard for a couple of weeks now. Why wasn't this completed last week?

Remember this guy was unsure if he even wanted to play football.

Who knows what the holdup might have been. He might just have been waiting for this week to make sure they were serious about offering only a one-year deal.
Either way, he's in Dallas, so, hooray.

Or maybe he was waiting to force the boys into only offering a 1 year deal, so he could sign and show up again next year the 1st week of September.

Clearly something changed. I doubt is was Waters caving.

He may not have caved, maybe the differance was the added incentive that brings it from 1.5 to 3 mill. Again Cowboys should not cave to demands either, to me this sounds like a fair deal on a 1 year contract.

That is what was being put out there. Is it really true or not we will likely never know. I tell my wife I don't want to do the dishes but I always end up in the kitchen after dinner doing just that.

Entitled to miss practice and camp?

I'll be honest, I'm glad he is here, and this stuff happens. But if he knew he was going to sign, then he should have showed up to a few practices and film sessions. Hopefully, we've been in contact with him.

Other than his late start, I'm thrilled about Waters.

Practice?! We're talkin' 'bout practice?!

The reports have pretty consistently been that the team was balking at the incentives. To me, that sounds nuts. What team doesn't want players who are working toward incentives?

depends on the incentives, I don't think saying if he plays 1/3 of the season he should get the 3 mill. We don't know what exactly the incentives are and what was being asked

The incentives are likely easy to reach. But really, would you pay 3 mill a year for a probowl caliber guard?

Here is a hint. In two years we've paid Bernardeu over 6 mill. In two years we've paid Nate Livings over 6 mill.

Great, Waters is out for this week. Let's label him as a bust and fragile right now!!!!

No, if you're referring this this year, that was Brandon Moore.

Waters didn't want to play for the Patriots last year. He wanted them to release him and allow him to play for another team, but they held onto his rights; therefore, he just stayed home.

Waters said all along this year that he was interested in playing for a team in Texas, but only for the right price.

If they knew there was a deal to be had with Waters, they were probably rotating Free in at OG to see how he could play there in an emergency. Earning two weeks' worth of suppositions that they were juggling the roster unnecessarily at the last minute.

No. I think they played Free in there just to piss a few people off. Jerry .... always the perpetual jokester!!!

Waters is a ornery old cuss. He does it his way or does not do it at all. The Boys were dancing to his tune the whole time.

How well does he sing or hum? Is there a soundtrack out on it? Where do I buy it? Was Patrick Swayze starring in it or was it Emmitt Smith that was dancing in it. I'm so confused. :)
