I was also told DeMarcus Ware doesn't expect to get cut. Once again he's not taking a pay cut. He will restructure his deal.

I think its a mistake for the future. But Atleast theres atleast 2 starting spots already in Dallas. Crawford and Ware, Selvie could start. But i think they go with a Rookie. Worst case scenario Dallas needs a 3 tech DT. And depth.

From this draft

Wouldn't proclaim Crawford a bust. If Ware returns to form this is a good move, don't think trading him is worthwhile and it's not worth it to move on from him this year. If he doesn't rebound we can revisit cutting him next offseason. Right move.

Restructuring and guaranteeing him more money in the future is about the stupidest thing in the world that I can think of.

Please nobody respond and say "that's exactly why Jerry will do it." We are better than that.

I like Crawford. He is solid against the run. he showed some of that his rookie yr. They were excited about him this yr. I think he wouldve started the 1tech this yr with hatcher.

Well, is Watkins saying he is definitely restructuring, or that he's willing to do so?

Lol if Ware has a bounce back yr this forum will act like they never said a bad word about him.

I'll admit my error in judgement. But I know it's not happening. He came into this season healthy and looked great in the preseason and training camp practices. As the season wore along he started to break down all over his body. If it was just one body part I could understand, but everywhere? Same exact thing will happen next year LM.

I think it's a mistake not cutting him, but I do believe he can still be a respectable player, though we'll find out soon enough.

Don't overreact, this is an agent negotiating through the media and a sportswriter getting ink by relaying the message. The idea that Jones is going to convert a 12.25 MM salary to an upfront bonus is completely insane and everyone in the food chain know it.

Let me un-agent-speak the original tweet:

I was also told (by Ware's agent) DeMarcus Ware doesn't expect to get cut (unless he overplays his hand). Once again he's not taking a pay cut (up until the moment he does). He will restructure his deal (downward by quite a bit of money).

sad but par for the course for this pathetic franchise.

Bro, you are "suffering".

Some advice...get off the computer, go find a woman/girl, and get you mind right!

To be honest, I have not read a positive post from you in a long, long time. It must be sad to be a miserable as you and some others around here. lol

He did go into TC healthy. And he dominated. His back will never fully heal. But those arm problems will. Thats what was his main issue this yr. He didnt have strength because of his injuries to his elbow. He actually talked about this at the end of the yr. I will be in the same digusted mood alot of you guys are in if come workouts time Ware is still taking days off. But if the guy comes back and works his butt off and is in all these workouts then he should be good to go.

I think its a bad thing for the cap. But for the defense i think its a good thing to draft and develop. Its clear Dallas needs players all over the DEF. Keeping Ware allows them to draft more then just DL. They dont see Selvie as a starter, so a SDE is needed, a 3tech is needed. Depth is needed. Most likely a CB is needed or a Safety is needed. Depth at LBer or a Starting Lber is needed. Knowing that 2 starting DEs isnt needed is a good thing.

Dallas can use FA for that.
