We beat the Giants, they are out of contention against us.
Mathematically a win or loss by Panthers, they are out, win and loss TB is done.
We beat the Giants and the Eagles, and the a loss by Washington, Rams, Saints, they are done.

So in the next 2 weeks, that can be 6 teams eliminated from contention with us.

Vikings and Bears would be next, 3 wins by us, a loss each by them, or guess 2-2 would do it also, but we play the Bears, so that would need to be a win., that is 8 teams out, so 2 to go.
Also we win 3 and Seahawks lose 1, that is 9 teams.
Unless Saints or Panthers take NFC South, then Falcons are in there too., so really 8 teams.

So it would be division against Eagles, then WC against 49ers, Cardinals, Lions, Packers.

So looks like 3 wins and we are in great shape.

It's going to be a very interesting 6 games.

We have to beat a cornered animal next Sunday night and then quickly turn around and play the fast-paced Eagles.

I just watched Philly and Colts defenses get manhandled by inferior offensive fronts. While I still refuse to set expectations on outcomes, 4-2 or even 5-2 would not surprise me in the least. I have little doubt we will be able to cave the ends and push the middle against the Colts and GB's adequate line destroyed Philly's front. Then of course there is the Dirty Sanchez factor.

If Brent can shore up our front on run downs and Crawford can come back strong then watch out. As it is now Melton and Hayden get blown off the ball too easily but I still like our chances with McClain and McClain. Spencer and Lawrence should get better as they heal up and round into playing shape.

Only FACTS ... IF playoffs started tomorrow which is actually speculation since season doesn't end tomorrow .. LOL

That's actually called a "conditional"...............not speculation bro

Some folks like to know where we stand on a week by week basis............nobody is saying this is how its is going to be week 17, I am just updating the people that want to know after all the NFC games have been played. I will update and post our new standing next week after all the NFC games are played and so on.

And the seedings come straight from NFL.com so there is no speculation involved, this is what the actual seedings are as of right now (right now being a condition, see definition if still unclear)....................like I said, this is for the people that want to know our current standing, for the folks that don't care until week 17, they can avoid these threads.

5-2 would be a little bit surprising.

If Romo is healthy for both? Uh....*raises hand*

That's a HUGE QB advantage for us. HUGE.

We've had huge QB advantages against guys like McCown and whomever the backup for GB was last season. You never know.

We do play the Eagles well as of late.

Detroit plays New England and Green Bay at Lambeau.

Right, you named the ONLY 2 tough games Detroit has left. They win all the others and they are sitting at 11-5. Detroit is getting the first wild card spot. We will be fighting with SF, and Seattle for the last remaining wild card spot if we don't win the division. I see us beating out Seattle because they have a very tough remaining schedule and seem like a team that is starting to self destruct from the inside but SF seems like they are playing decent ball. I only see them losing one or maybe 2 games for the rest of the season. Split with Seattle, beat the Commanders, Oakland, SD, and then their last game is the Cards in SF that could be a toss up. So, at max they lose 2 games and are 10-6 holding a tie breaker over us. I could see us losing 3 more games and missing the playoffs because of being tied with SF.

Lions remaining schedule.

Patriots
Bears in Detroit
Bucs in Detroit
Min in Detroit
Bears in Chicago
Packers in GB

So 6 games left in the season, still need to play the Eagles twice, plus 2 more divisional games and you are worried about what our current seed and tirebreaker is?

Stupid thread is stupid.

if playoffs started tomorrow. Philly has tiebreak over us due to better division record.

That dam Skins game would cost us the division title.

We play those pricks twice and that's bad news for them.

It's all good. I want that #2 seed so we can play a home game.
