We Are 6th Seed Currently

This Cowboy team couldn't beat a Colt McCoy led Commanders team, so a split with the Eagles would be a positive.

Yup, how the hell do we let Washington beat us. They kept blitzing and we had zero answers for it. Also, the last 3 years, losing the "win or go home" games has me worried that this team could repeat it. As always, they control their own destiny. Take care of business and we're freaking in.

The Cowboys won't get in. Romo is the QB....remember?

The Washington loss sucked, but I've come to accept it. We won a game we "shouldn't have won" in Seattle and lost a game we "shouldn't have lost" against Washington. They kind of cancel each other out in my mind.

In the end, we need to win 10 or 11 and we'll be fine. Doesn't matter who they're against. Just win them.

10 or 11 wins as a wildcard might not do it. Need to win the nfce.

A 10-6 team in the NFC will not make the playoffs this year.

There is a non-trivial chance that a 11-5 team doesn't make it.

It would be an absolute travesty for a 7-9 or 6-10 team from the NFC South to make it over an 11-5 team, however, that's the way the systems is set up now.

It's true; if the Cowboys and Eagles split the head-to-head tiebreaker, then we had better hope the Commanders or Giants manage an upset win of some sort over Philly, or that the Seahawks and/or Titans can do it.

What's the problem?

We are going to have to beat the best if we are going to be the best.

It doesn't matter.

We have to play our best ball against the best teams.

These next 6 games will be the litmus test.

I'm hoping I'm going to enjoy this ride.

It means, people look after 10 games, or 9, or 12. And say, if this team beats that team, and we win, we have a better chance of getting into the playoffs.
Fans don't wait until the last game. It's like looking at the schedule when it comes out, before the draft, and predict wins and losses.

Everyone does it. And if they say they don't, I have some "property" I would like to sell them.

You are wasting your breath bro, some of these guys just don't get it.

Some fans like to "enjoy the journey" see where we stand and how different outcomes on different games can change that standing going forth. Its the entire purpose of having playoff generators during the season or probability charts. I mean, there was an entire thread on the first page where AdamJT was explaining how Philly losing increased our odds of winning the division by like 2% but our overall odds of going to the playoffs went down 4%.

These guys would think that thread was stupid as well...............I guess they just want to wake up the morning of week 17 and log on to see what our final record was and if we made the playoffs or not.

Got the same record with 6 games left and 2 matchups with each other

IM HYPE

Yea, plus they both play their other division games on the road (@WSH, @ NYG). Besides those, Philly has 2 homes games (TEN, SEA), while Dallas has 1 home (IND) and 1 road (CHI).
