We are at the point where you can refer to it as an outright shame

I'm as negative about Jerry as most, but this seems like a very off base opinion given that the goal is to hire the right guy and not hire someone as rapidly as possible. That's not to say I have confidence Jerry will hire the right guy, but the fact he hasn't hired someone within a week doesn't mean anything.

I actually thought they would sign Henry. That's it. I know that you don't know anything about coaching.
I know about as much as you.

One thing I do know. They arent taking this seriously because the Cowboys have the laziest front office in sports.

You dont know anything about my history or what I do and dont know. Dont presume things. You know what they say about assumptions.

What I do know. Is Schotty hasnt had a top 5 offense in his life, no one has interviewed him for a HC position in a decade, and our offense with him as the OC was one of the worst red zone scoring offenses in the league. Not to mention he wasnt even the play caller for that offense.

I also know if he is hired. Solari stays. Which means this OL isnt getting better.

This team needs a RB first and foremost and needs someone from the Shanahan tree that runs the ball with his scheme because it didnt seem to matter who ran in SF. They got chunk yards and it didnt matter who the opposition was.

For me more than shame it is the sorrow of seeing a one respected franchise with a history as rich as the Cowboys being trashed.

That quote was while the team was a dynasty. Pretty easy to say when they just won 2 Super Bowls. His job over the past 30 on the other hand has been utter crap which puts his ridiculous Jerry-logic completely out of touch with reality.
It was a dumb thing to say when he had the best team in the league. It would be an idiotic comment for any general manager to say out loud.

At that time, his 1 out of 500 coaches, Barry Switzer, did not get the team to Super Bowl XXIX. If not for the players, his 1/500 coach would not have been able to scream 'WE DID IT OUR WAY!' after winning Super Bowl XXX.

Football is a sport that depends on the right combination of coaching and players to sustain success. Jimmy Johnson was the right coach. Jones divorced himself from the right coach WHEN his franchise was on top of the world.

Dismissing his irrational statement for how he could win without Johnson is not taking into account his mentality. Jerry Jones did not mysteriously morph into an incompetent buffoon concerning football management in just the past 30 years. He has always been one.

Superb, better than Alien by a mile!
Whoa whoa whoa! Both films are classics. Ridley Scott and James Cameron had different styles of directing them. Both sets of actors turned in solid performances. I would disagree one film is a huge leap over the other.

again i would love for this to be my decision, because im down for putting him in a conservatorship, the level of spears father i would go would be deeply disturbing....but i have no say in this and the 80 year old is in fact incharge with no end in sight.....

youre side-stepping...a lot

do you think Jimmy's(whom i like) ways are sustainable?

players tune it out quick. Its a few year fix and then its over.

you like abuse...others dont...and try and tune it out...and that TRYING TO TUNE OUT leads to losses.

fact.

ghost me

We? Who are ‘we?’

I am a fan of the Cowboys and I have no shame with anything about the Cowboys. I don’t care how they conduct their search for a head coach. Why would I get emotional over something which I have no input or control.

For those who like to whine, have at it.

Cool story. Thanks for sharing.

Kind of. First he wanted MM back and miscalculated MMs desire to remain in his employ. Then factor in this is a competition for the best candidate. You can be too thorough and miss on your guy. This is a time to be both thorough and decisive.
