I saw it as a reasonable assessment of our offense and the Moore situation by your good self.
Please do not slander my "Like" based on the biggest HOMER on this site who is drinking Jerry's Kool-Aid (probably spiked with vodka) daily and spends half of his time here benched for his insulting behavior.
Insulting behavior? You're reaching, PappyPoo...badly.

No doubt....KM was good, but I feel he wanted stats to pad his resume.....understandable, that's how most young coordinators think.
My sense is that former NFL QBs tend to be pass-centric as coordinators. Coordinators that were marginally successful at small colleges and then had to climb the coaching ladder via multiple offensive positions make the best coordinators.

Kellen should never have been OC. He was made so in part because it was comfortable for Dak. Players, as in life in general, need to be uncomfortable in some measure.

Our offense line worry is the 8 games that Tyron Smith misses due to injury. That pulls Tyler Smith out to left tackle and we end up with Farniok? as the LG.
If Edoka is not better than Farniok!!!!If Ball is a complete waste of skin and we don't hit on one of the Rookies.

I choose not to lament over things I cannot see. Especially this early. THAT and you can't have all pro's at every position

Yep, a draft to fix the weaknesses.

The Schoonmaker vrs Torrence argument will continue, though to give some understanding and support for the pick the FO obviously knew the consequence and so MUCH preferred what Schoon has to offer. The positivity is that they wanted Schoon and so drafted the PLAYER, not the position. They werent HOPING that he dropped to the 3rd, Strange and Kraft went before that pick and there's a distinct possibility we lost the player we wanted.

Conversely, if we picked Torrence that would of been purely on drafting the TACO (only natural fit available), there wasnt really a LG left. We must feel that Tyler, Farniok, Edoga can provide a similar/comparative short term solution.....then again we possibly expected taking a LG in the draft so wouldnt have signed RISNER (pre-draft), now we've been (self inflicted) wiped out it's conceivable that we always had or viewed Dalton as being the option in this eventuality.
If I were a cowboys fan I would be wondering why they drafted a tight end in the second round who has a lot of similarities to a guy already on the roster in Sean Mckeon. They seem very similar. He must be significantly better than him to have been drafted in the 2nd round however.

I'd love to have a tricky/witty, role-based offense. And I think that's what they're planning. But somehow, no matter who the coaches have been over the last 20+ years, we seem to go back to basic offenses during games. It's like they script the first 10 plays then run out of ideas and retreat to fundamental play calling.

I'm an older guy... but I think a lot of millennials on here think that the draft is like Madden. It's not. Mazi is a HUGE upgrade to the run defense and Schoonmaker TE is 6'5" and 251 lbs. This kid is like adding another lineman on the line of scrimmage in short-yardage situations. Plus, he has great hands and can run. Do you think a skinny corner can tackle him? The game is won at the line of scrimmage. I love this draft! My gosh... we beefed up this team with big boys that love contact. Lastly, they drafted a scat back. Deuce. You can line this kid up everywhere... defensive coordinators will not have a plan for him because they do not know where he will line up. He will be a weapon and the opposing defense must account for him.

If you saw McKeon on the field you're telegraphing the run. If Schoonmaker's on the field, it could be either run or passing play. Didnt someone also mention that he was ranked second in slant receptions for a Tight End in last years college season (only surpassed by Brock Bowers who's expected to go top 10 in next years draft).

Us millennials are nearing 40 years old. You’re thinking of Gen Z

Is millennials are stating to have pain in our backs when we wake up in the morning.

...I THINK.....this was a great draft. Potential is thru the roof, IMO. 4 Draftees could possibly push this team forward.
Yet most impartial ’experts’ were Luke warm on our draft. We screwed up the first round and watched someone poach our TE … Goedert flashbacks…then we were left reaching (maybe only slightly) for plan B Mazi. Not a great draft.

MM thinks we beat SF with him calling the plays and Pollard not breaking his leg. He might be right.
He might be right! Pollard was chipping away at that defense. There was a big problem though with defending Kittle over the middle.

I would add that some of the teams that were already better than us , got better too

thats why we needed to be more aggressive in Free agency and in drafting when possible
Well EVERY team improves through the draft, be it:
- top end talent
- improving weaknesses
- improving schematically
- depth
- developmental strength
- veteran presence by trading picks.

Unfortunately, for the week following the draft the headline and focus is purely on TOP END TALENT.

yea he must be a lot better since he was taken in the 2nd round otherwise its a major head scratcher. They also may just release McKeon after camp so he is probably a better version of him. They are so similar though, both the #2 tight end at Michigan under harbaugh, same size and hands etc.
