The thing that's killing us are these long drives that we're giving up. Teams are methodically driving down the field on us sustaining long drives. I was horrified to see the Rams march on us with ease in the first half although they folded in the second half. The difference this week is that the Saints have a strong offense and I doubt they'll fold, if they get up on us and can control the tempo of the game is over.

The Cowboys have to win with offense. This defense is at least two years away from real potency (with good, targeted drafting)...maybe three. The setbacks involving Lee, Ware, Ratliff, Spencer, Claiborne...too many losses and question marks in my opinion. Bruce Carter just now "seems" to be slowing down the game, after being bad and too many places last year. If all those guys are healthy and contributing currently, then what type of defense does the Cowboys have? Dallas really got burned throwing out the 3-4, whether you agree with that or not. What has happened since then has been dismal. I say this only because of the extremely bad luck that has followed the move.

I'm laughing, and not at you Bullflop...

Saints coach Sean Payton and quarterback Drew Brees have been going out of their way to point out that Dallas' defense is not the same unit that New Orleans torched in the Superdome last season.

For just a starting point, over half of the defensive starters will be different from who started that game last season...as well as Rod Marinelli being promoted to Defensive Coordinator.

I'm just wondering what this game looks like when the Cowboys don't spot these Saints two up front touchdown scores?

LOL -- I can't help but wonder what that might look like as well. It'd be a little slice of heaven if we're destined to find out Sunday night, although I'm not at all sure I'd be likely to bet the farm on it -- if I even had one, that is.

If Demarco gets over 25 carries we win this game. Romo has to stick to the run and don't try to get into a shootout with Brees. Hopefully Garrett and Linahan will keep him on a short leash with the Audibles this game.

If anyone is being kept on a "short leash", let's hope it's not Romo because he's the only one on this team that can make us competitive against ELITE teams. I know he's been a different player this year, but remember the Denver game last year? Without Romo we lose that game by 30+.
