We have several players on this team with huge contracts. The first thing we as fans say is that they're making too much when their production isn't adding up.

In the process of said player EARNING said contract, they had to perform in a certain way to get paid, in which we ALL were happy while they made great plays.

Now, in the NFL we have something that's called MARKET VALUE, which is the value of the top players at that position. We fail to realize as the market is set, this is near or above what the player will be asking the team for.

We're fools to think that a player playing at a high level is going to take less than market value. Yet once said player is digressing in his play, we complain that he's overpaid.

What is the team supposed to do allow these players just to walk? I'm aware that we can't pay everyone big money, but we will have to spend and we have an owner who likes to spend!

With that said we have to monitor how we say OVERPAID, your thoughts please!!!

I think we got rid of one of the few guys we were overpaying.

Tank is another one even though he does so much for our D ...... We payed him like a DeMarcus Ware type player and got a good runstopper/ dirty work guy.

To be fair, unless the player actually gets to free agency we don't get to get an accurate measurement of their market value.

I think your use of CAPITAL letters is telling us the words you want to FOCUS on....

That's what other teams are willing to pay him, you go by the guy or guys who have signed previously before him ala COOPER

Zeke , Dlaw , Smith are all overpaid . Don't get fooled by zeke's last game . the OL is playing great and Pollard + any decent Rb can get those yards and not cost 15 million + as per zeke's contract.
Dlaw has never been close to elite or top 5-7 in the NFL . Jerry paid him for potential and missed. Same happened with other players overpaid on the roster.
Right now Dak is the only recent big splurge that has worked so far as Dak has proven himself on the field so far .

Agreed, but what are you going to do just keep players for 4 years and draft more??
