Team's in any era who are able to run the football, play strong defense have been successful. This is a winning formula that travels. The 49ers most recently have put together this type of team, where they were in the NFC Championship Games last yr and also had a SB appearance.

I see the Cowboys slowly resembling the current 49er team, although still not there yet inside the trenches. They are able to successfully run the football against most teams, have a great pass rush that can generate pressure without the need of a blitz. Must get better at stopping the run and they have the ingredients to make a deep playoff run. They will have their opportunities to do so as they face Taylor, Henry, Cook still on their schedule, along with a few others. Believe their pass protection must improve as well.

I said the same thing! We are the diet niners with a worse play called and better QB. I think if we keep that formula we optimize our chances of winning big.

Really though, for me it's about building a complimentary team. Right now today, I think we have a team that better suits Dak's skill set than the more talented one we saw in 2021. That team was built on fantastic wide receiver talent that at times ripped opposition to shreds, but it also had a weak interior O-line that was penalty mad. Once Zeke got that PCL injury, and any hint of play action was rendered ineffective all consistency went out the window. And for me that's the crucial difference, I think Dak is at his most dangerous with a strong run game that allows him to utilize play action. Jokes about being a bus driver aside, he is actually really good disguises handoffs, he's effective in play action and bootlegs, he's great throwing on the run, he makes good decisions with option reads, and is a tough runner.

While Dak has gotten better as a pocket passer, he's never going to be Pat Mahomes. He's the same guy that lit up the league as a rookie in 2016 and that was never a gun slinger. The offense in 2021 might have been more talented, but with a stronger O-line, Zeke/Pollard more effective in the run game, and elevated TE play, the offense is asking Dak to do what he's good at and that simply wasn't the case come playoff last season.

They don't have an inept OC that continues to run the ball to the edge against the fastest defense I've seen. Stick with running between the tackles.

Insults, not at all. I would gladly help you if you asked me. There isn't anything normal about going on a message board and being hateful and negative in every single thread. I'm telling you. It isn't normal. You will play it off like I'm insulting you and what not, but I know deep down you realize that something is off. It isn't healthy. Any time I run into a person that is very negative, they usually have much bigger problems going on. Even if you do it towards my favorite football team that doesn't mean I don't hope you can't find happiness.

I would love to hear your opinions in the first 2 pages of threads. I think you bring up good points from time to time actually. Tell you what. How about for every one negative thing you say in a post on the first 2 pages you must add in an one positive comment also. Progress is what I'm going for here. I'm going to prove to you that being positive is much more fulfilling then negativity. You do that and you don't hear from me again.

We'd get dominated by them with the offense we have right now easily, but if we keep our running game going and stick to script we have a chance vs them or anyone.
