We can get Berry.

A luxury? How do you figure?

We run a two TE offense. Wouldn't it be nice if both were quality starters?

Not when you can afford to upgrade other starting positions. John Phillips may not be as good a blocker or as athletically gifted as Bennett, but he could fill in with our 2TE sets while we gain a starter on defense.

Unless we get a real secondary coach it won't matter if we have Ronnie Lott in his prime at safety.

very good point. our safeties would suck if we had Troy Polamalumalu and Ed Reed if Campo is the db coach

Mute point, trade deadline is over.

You're not the only person who makes this mistake, so I'm not picking on you in particular, but the correct word is "moot" not mute.

And it means "debatable" which is exactly what people are doing here, debating the point.

It does mean "to discuss or debate" (ie moot court) but it also means "irrelevant" or "without legal significance/no practical importance" (ie moot point).

Or you could be talking about an English meeting. :D

In either case, it's not "mute"

Yeah, that used to irritate me too. Like "rediculous". :D

Had to learn to roll w/it.

I try to educate, as well as entertain...

... kinda like Pittman4Two.

Am I the only one who thinks Mays is just a tad over-rated? I love his size and speed but I saw Berry keep Tennessee in the game aganist Florida. The guy is just a playmaker.

Will Berry be the Roy Lee Williams (top 10 pick) to Myron Rolle's Ed Reed (bottom of the first)?

Roy Williams was the flashier big game playmaker, Ed Reed was just consistently making plays game after game.

And it will take more than Bennett and Dallas' first to get into the top 5. Cowboys will have a winning record this season, no doubt, so should be drafting in the mid-late 20's, at least. Similar to when when Darren McFadden came out.

We could easily get Eric Berry people.

Our first and Martellus Bennett to the Browns for their first round pick pick.

They need offensive talent and let's face it,MartyB is a luxury and we have gaping holes on our team. I understand the running game blahblahblah. Iupati will fix that.;)

:worthy2:

Would you guys do this trade?

It's about time you stopped ********* Berry... if you keep this up until the draft, the guy won't have anything left to offer any team...

And this thread belongs in the Draft Zone...

offense isn't the problem it's the defense. we are in desperate need for a safety who can make plays.

Exactly. I'm not saying offense is the problem.

But you take away MartyB you take away our base offense.

And with our WR's if we dont have good backs and TE's we're in trouble.

I like Berry a lot too, and would love to see him in Dallas.

But if we are going to move up in the draft, I'd rather do it for a LT. I think a premier LT has more worth than a premier S.

Still.

I'd never complain about Berry in a Cowboys uniform.

we have a LT wo is almost breaking down in case anybody has not noticed, why would we take a safety that early?
