Well, the Cowboys are a draft n develop team oppose to a sign quality FAs team, so I guess they just have to stand on their draftees.

So let me get this straight,
We drafted a top OT in the draft that most thought was really the 2nd best OT in the Draft and ppl here want us to sign some old and washed up OT Free agent, (Really) Wow.
McG had already beaten out Tyler for the LG spot so move Tyler to his Natural Position of LOT and ppl are complaining. Also we have two OT that we are developing Ball and Wojo, Ball has played better w every snap so whats the beef, let them play ball like they were drafted for

So Mr Hindsight are you saying you'd have put Tyler at LT over Tyron, or ease him into the NFL inside at Guard ....and then try and move him to LT without any pre-season at the position. What a developmental football brain, bring in First Rounder and ask him to master two positions.

Whatever the faults of the FO and there are many (one being they keep spilling this #@%$ that we can fill LT from within), the idea of bringing in a veteran LT, (Eric Fisher) who they may have already approached (probably one of the 9 offers he's turned down). Leave Tyler where he is, and keep some continuity in the line.

Tell any scout that Smith is a better OT prospect than three of Evan Neal, Ikem Ekwonu, Charles Cross and Trevor Penning, then tell me how hard they laugh at you

We drafted a project player a round early that has played guard all of camp and has a penchant for holding. Not an option imo.

You have to understand, those that wallow in misery all the time, this is their time right now. They have never been happier all off-season. They have to seize this moment and attack everyone bc they were so smart that they KNEW Tyron would get hurt. lol

Also, these same people crying about LT were also the same ones crying that we took a LT in the first round. See, in their worlds, they are never wrong.

Now, i agree, Smith is a solution to the LT issue. I think it covers us and McGovern can play LG. I just feel like we are a net loss with this lineup as opposed to last year. With Tyron, i really felt our OL was going to be better than last year. I think if we can keep Smith at LG and somehow get solid play from LT, we can still be better in some areas like running the ball.

There are some that wanted to replace Smith a couple of years ago, but that Jones emotion keeps fans attached. PFF, ESPN, Burger King, Target, Toys R Us; always states his dominance, so some fans swear by his ratings.

we threw out Steele UDFA at tackle and let him get better.. sure it was rough but does anyone regret it? Maybe the La'el Collins enthusiasts, but that guy was a bum and cared about other sh** more than football... I don't like those people, that's not the mentality an elite athlete has.

so why is everyone freaking out when we can put a 1st rd pick LT on the line to start Day 1? Mcgovern is suspect but all those reps at LG have paid off now as an investment and same with the reps Tyler got at OTA's which McCarthy a month ago regretted but is now a blessing in disguise.

That's because your use of language appears to indicate that English isnt your first language.

Not only is it grammatically poor, it's full of factual inaccuracies.

In summary signing or trading for a veteran LT is the only sensible option.
