And there it is.

Can we keep Spencer on PUP now?

10/17/13 - --DE Lavar Edwards had a key offsides penalty in Seattle late in the game with the Titans facing a third-and-4 and needing to get the football back for the offense.
10/10/13 - DE Lavar Edwards got his first action as a pro on Sunday after the Titans waived Keyunta Dawson, who was picked up by the New Orleans Saints. Edwards had a pass deflection at the line against Alex Smith last week.
05/31/13 - DE Lavar Edwards, a fifth-round pick out of LSU, signed with the Titans. His speed as a rusher is the big attraction, and the fact that he is strong enough to play the run will make him have a chance to contribute.
04/29/13 - A closer look at the Titans' picks: Round 5/142 - Lavar Edwards, DE, 6-4, 270, LSU...The Titans needed help in the pass rush, and it was expected to come earlier with a player like Dion Jordan or Barkevious Mingo. Instead, the Titans land Mingo's backup, Edwards, who has nice size and potential of his own. His speed as a rusher is the big attraction, and the fact that he is strong enough to play the run will make him have a chance to contribute. - The Sports Xchange

Lavar Edwards
LSU SEC

Analysis
Strengths
Tall, long defensive end who plays both sides of the line. Third in rotation but gets plenty of snaps at either side and even on the interior on passing downs. More often than not, finds first contact through hands to chest and extended arms. Not locked into edge rushing, can use extension to press the pocket while engaged. Great motor, chases the quarterback to the sideline and turns to find the ball carrier on completed passes behind him. Sheds hands quickly when asked to spy and has the lateral speed to keep up with the running back in the flat. Very disciplined as a run defender and in playing the read option.

Uche Nwaneri - G - Free Agent
Cowboys released G Uche Nwaneri and TE Asa Watson.

Nwaneri, 30, was never a good bet to crack an offensive line that's as deep and talented as any in the league. He should still be able to find work after putting together a decent 16-start season in Jacksonville last year.

wasn't he the DE from LSU ? Ive never seen him play in NFL but was a good college player.

left end? By his size looks like d end/ go inside tackle on 3rd down like a Crawford, saying because of measurable a by what I read can rush the passer.

Edwards was one of Mel Kiper's most underrated players out of that crop.

And he's never wrong.

This year just feels different.

Good move, I think. He wasn't impressive in the preseason. That 8th OL spots should be a developmental guy, IMO.
