We got Lavar Edwards in a trade (conditional 7th) ***Merged***

Just what we need, another SDE. So that gives us, what, like 18 SDEs and one (not even good pass-rushing) WDE?

Kidding. Don't know anything about this kid but if the Cowboys didn't want to risk him getting taken off the wire, they must like him.

Plus he isn't going to start, he will just be a Nickel rusher with minimal run responsibilities. A little more froth for the Marinelli Wave Attack, I like the move.

Edwards is actually very good against the run. He needs to be in on run downs, not nickel.

Edwards was one of Mel Kiper's most underrated players out of that crop.

And he's never wrong.

This year just feels different.

I would sure like to know what this means coming from you!

Anyway, I like this pickup.

Dallas has acquired DE Lavar Edwards from TN for an undisclosed 2015 draft pick. Edwards was a third day pick by the Titans out of LSU. Edwards played in the Senior Bowl.

Any more news and/or information would be appreciated.

I like the profile from the start...physical, long, a little football attitude, and strong anchor on the run. That has to help...

I don't think so. He'll play before the 6th game which he wouldn't be able to do if he was on PUP when the season began.

They will lose a young player and all they get in return is maybe a game or two from a less than 100% Spencer. He said himself in an interview this week that he hopes to get back before game 6. It seem like a Jerry over-ruling McClay type of move to me.
