With witten gone, and Williams hurt, we have only Beasley from last year.
The new lb changes that group.
Jones to CB, and rookies from last year should be healthy, so
Hard to say how they do, but
Should be better.
Elliot drama from last year is gone hopefully, and I read the
RB we got in 6th is a powerful
Runner, so maybe they run more.

Dak friendly schemes? Could
Be coming.

No matter what, this season is now hard to predict, could be good or bad, have to wait and see.
Right now I am more optimistic than I normally am.
Just 3 more months to PS!

There has been a lot of change in a short space of time but the only thing that concerns me is the obvious lack of depth at safety. I heard SJ say that we have corners that can play safety but that is hardly ideal. I am all for position flex in emergencies but you can't expect a young team to improve unless they are fully focused on the job at hand.

I know it hasn't been just one draft but this roster all of a sudden looks pretty solid, safety or no.
If CWilliams really can start game 1 [ I think he can] we in the play offs.Last year was always the prefect storm
that Jason didn't get a handle on,admittedly. I thought after Callahan left his flunky Pollack was promoted
beyond his level of competence. Thats on Garrett.
It not just the new draft picks and FA's coming in [as we all know] it's the staff turn over.
As the OP said it's a new team. Recalling a article just written by a local sports beat writer. This season turns on Connor Williams.
I believe that.

I forgot about the new coaches.
Thanks for adding that.
About safety, Heath is one, no telling who the other will be.
I think Williams should start at
L guard .
Ecsh @ mlb?
They all need to play good,
Some need to be better than good, to have a good season.

I have no idea how they will do,
Which is kinda fun.

2018 looks like its going to be funny......real funny......starting with the draft.

Good post Dandy, I think it is a very different team. As you stated, it will be hard to predict, but I like the way Stephen is exerting more and more influence, away from the circus barker style that Jerry specialized in for so many years.

I don’t know what’s going to happen with this team but I like this idea: More Stephen- Less Jerry.

I would think Williams should be fine by TC, or at least the start of the season. Has anyone seen any news lately on his injury and recovery and time table for it?

Yeah that Circus Ring Master Jerry is giving up his side show, and Stephen is taking it to the center ring main attraction.....
...changes are good in this situation.

How and when did he get hurt?
He may be ready but will be a starter?
I would like to see him as a reserve. Start hurns and Austin.

It isn't just Stephen, they decide as a group

The team has never said when the injury occurred. But many think it happened in the last game against the Eagles. He left the game, and I believe it was briefly mentioned he may have had an injury but fans and media probably just think he was pulled to let Brown or Lenior get playing time. As they never came back and confirmed if he got injured. Or it could have happened the week before, which is why they brought up Lenoir from the PS.
But that was more because Dez and his tendonitis.

They didn't mention the injury and surgery as a team until right before FA began.

Im worried that our coaches lack the innovation to scheme success on the offensive side of the ball.

If our plan is to line up and just run at people I think we are going to have a very frustrating season ahead of us.
The NFL is too smart, too talented to out man people consistently. The smart coaches are the winners these days.
Guys like Peterson and McVee understand that you need to scheme success. I dont get the same feeling from our coaching staff.

Hoping for the best of course.
