Our receivers are nowhere near top 3 to me and neither is tight end. I'd say tight end is top 10.

Dez alone is Top 5 and probably Top 2 if he wasn't under thrown so often last season....

Dez is w/o a doubt the 2nd best WR in the NFL. He's uncoverable, Romo doesn't throw the deep ball well at his later age.

Off the top of my head

Offenses better than Dallas:

Denver
San Francisco
Chicago
Seattle
Green Bay
Philly
New Orleans
New England (just because of Brady)
Detroit

You could argue a a few more.

why does it need to be a top ten defense? Cant he have a defense that just works? Lets just say they arent good but can make some stops and allow the offense to pull away? Top everything with most posters, lets just hope he gets something to work. Im not expecting top 35 in the league, but if they can just slow down an offense or make a stop here or there, and not be run over all the time, i will be thrilled.

OK. How about top 20?

As long as the defensive line is a question mark, Dallas will not be able to stop enough of the good offenses to do more than possibly make the playoffs. If somehow added a small pass-rusher, some seventh-round linemen, two journeymen, players returning from injury and a stud coming off major injury solidifies Dallas' line, then the Cowboys can do what you're asking.

Just a lot of questions to be answered.

No way on Chicago; Cutler is their QB. Saints offense isn't nearly as good outside their dome so no for me. 49ers has to be a joke, Seattles Offesne isn't good eihter they get set up by their defense. Only team on their is Denver

i wouldnt ask Dallas right now to stop a riderless bicycle. And thats being kind. Right now the whole defenive side of the team has got to start from scratch and get rid of whoever needs to go, if that means Matt Johnson so be it. Start from there. If Lee cant be healthy or give us a healthy career, go, we dont have time for that. Yes hes an amzing player, but this defense cant look to be anything top 15. They just have to get back to the basics and see if they can slow down an offense, and i dont mean the good ones, we know thsi is a 500 team for a reason.

If we have a field a bunch of no namers, so be it. The defense is so bad one that one or two good players isnt going to change it.

Oh Dez isn't the one i'm referring to. Dez is a top 5 receiver. Its the other guys that prevent us from having a top 5 receiving core. Atlanta, Denver, Giants, Washington, Bears....until proven otherwise its Dez and a bunch of 3rd receiver type guys.

1. Qb- Romo= top 10
2. RB- Murray- top 10
OL- Top 5
3. WR- Dez, T-will, Street, Beasley- top 3
4. TE- Witten, Escobar- top 3

We will be able to score on everyone this year, Seattle better be ready. Thoughts?

Romo is definitely top 10 as long as he doesn't have any lingering back issues. Doubt he'll be 100% though even if he lasts all season. Might have to bump him down a few pegs for the current year.

Murray - top 10 for sure but doubt he stays on the field all year. Here's hoping!

OL - top 5 probably as long as injuries are kept down. Can probably afford one injury and still be top 10.

WR - Not as sold on T-Will as a lot of people are. I would wager we don't see much growth tis year and he will have a sophomore slump. Dez hopefully avoids injury and we'll be top 10 here on him alone (especially with our new OC). Dez gets hurt and we fall into the bottom 3rd of the league IMO.

TE - I'm with you on here all the way. Can't imagine Witten declining much if at all from his usual self and I believe Escobar starts showing up.
